To those applying for the NHS and the police

What I notice a lot in the NHS applications is that there are so many people responding to questions which require detail with one sentence answers. If your answer is only a few words long your application is basically already on it's way to being declined. The reason is that the NHS and Police are looking for dedicated and active members, and if your answers are brief and short you don't portray as someone who would be very active. As look at it from an NHS admin or police academy member point of view if you couldn't put time and effort into your application are you likely to put time and effort being a medic or a cop, or would you be extremely inactive and not a very dedicated?

An example of an answer which is relation to what you say to your patient when treating them:

"You'll be fine"

I've actually seen someone put that as their answer.

What you have to remember is that Altislife.co.uk is a role play driven server, and the white-listed Medics and Police officers have to be good role players or have the potential to be a good role player.

Thank you for reading and kind regards,

+1 I honestly get very annoyed when I see answers like that and then I get a pm saying that they shouldn't have been defined and that they feel I'm being unfair and it's honestly funny to me.

Another thing I would like to add is those who do take their time and get denied an application with the police because of lack of server experience. It is not personal, but the academy does not care if you had 1,000+ hours on another AL server because every community is different (Different rules, different players, different mechanics).

All you have to do is play here some, get some assets, and just reapply within a week or two. Doing this shows you know the game, map, rules, etc... It also gives you a chance to get some rebel tomfoolery out of the way before you dedicate yourself to the police.

just out if curiosity what length of time is considered the bare minimum or does it vary depending on who reviews your application

@GP. Lharmon sometimes I'm tempted to respond with denied to poor applications to save you the time of rejecting them

I was originally turned down because of lack of hours and I didn't mind one bit as I knew that once I reach a certain amount of hours I would be nearly guaranteed a spot in the police, which I was two weeks later.

@bobmarley haha if only it were allowed but I don't mind I find them quite funny at times like the one where the title is them asking us to urban them from the server.

There's no strict minimum. You just have to be on the server often and show that you understand the rules and roleplay.

Some info is better not to be shared in public.
