If you get banned 4.5 months ago ,does that still count or do the admins take the time that you have not been banned in consideration?

This was announced in Aprils newsletter:
Changes to “Dispute a ban”
Prior to now, if a player had been banned before, they were permanently banned, with a chance to appeal 6 months later...
As of today (as of this post) If you have been banned more than 3 months prior, it does not mean your ban will be automatically denied.
Going forward we’ll be looking at bans in a new way, this is due to people that made mistakes on their first day being totally removed from the community for breaking a rule a year later...
This doesn’t mean that you can now break a rule every 3 months, previous bans will be looked at, so if you’re banned for VDMing people intentionally, and do it again 3 months later, chances are you’ll be on the next ship off the island.
So in simple, been banned before and just got banned? You don’t need to write a 400 page leaving post, but make a nice, honest, accurate unban appeal instead.
If you have been perm banned however, you must wait 6 months to make an appeal in the 'permanent ban appeal' section.

To be fair Dain, these new unban rules even confuse me :/ Way way to complicated in my opinion, what was wrong with the: "An admin will decide if you are worthy of being unbanned" way of dealing with bans? If it's not broken, why try to fix it?

Yes thanks,cause i got banned 4 months ago because of RDM( I was speaking in a Different Channel) and this week I got banned again for RDM(this was actual RDM) guess I'll have to wait 6 months 
I'm unsure where the confusion comes from, it's fairly simple.
Before: If you got banned, you had one more chance. If you got banned again that was it. So - if I got banned on my first day for RDM, then got banned a year later for NLR, I would have to wait 6 months.
Now: If you got banned, you must not get banned again within 3 months. If you do get banned within that 3 months, that's it, you must wait 6 months. If you get banned outside that 3 months, you will be able to appeal and it will not be autodenied because of the previous ban.
Of course staff discretion still applies. If we see a pattern of RDM for example, we will probably not unban for it, or if we see people get banned every 4 months, that too will probably be denied.
So, as simply as I can put it - been banned before? Was it more than 3 months ago? If yes, appeal. If no, its perm.

If there is still confusion, just make an appeal and let the staff members figure it our for you.

It's not complicated, if you get banned twice in a time span of 3 months, your perma banned.
If not you can appeal, and every case can be specific. And to be fair we need to adapt, just because it's not broken, doesn't mean we can't improve it. I'll gladly explain the reasons behind them in TS anytime you want if it helps.

Already made an unban appeal and it got denied for 6 months so I don't think i'm allowed to make another one

You told me you got banned twice, i went you your last unban appeal and it's the third time you get banned.
Anyway closing this topic.
