I am posting this message based on being in different TS channels with different people on the server. The intent of the post is not to single anyone out, not to embarrass anyone, and no names will be mentioned.
I am tired of hearing the following comments
"The police powergame and metagame"
"The police fail RP"
"Theres no point to report him, the admins aren't processing ban requests."
"Why report the cop, the PCC is useless anyway"
"They aren't filling comp requests its a waste of time."
"The mentor's do not help."
"The gang are nothing but twats and RDMers"
Out of these comments the two that make me angry are unfounded complaints about the police and mentors. I take them personally because we bust our asses off to make your in gameplay more enjoyable. We try our hardest to roleplay to protect you, and yet when there are complaints about cops power gaming, I request people to tell me what happened or give evidence and all I get is "Don't have time to tell you" "I don't record."
When someone who is willing to listen asks you what happens, and you don't want to speak with them, it shows deception or just ignorance.
SI Walt and SI Bob bust their butts off to take the time out of their gaming experience and lives to investigate complaints on a video gaming server. If you have legtimate evidence, tried to sort it out with the officer, and still haven't resolved it, please post in the PCC.
As far as gangs goes, most of the established gangs are established for a reason. Ok I get it if you get mad at a gang for robbing you, or ruining your drug run. But if you have an issue with a gang member doing something wrong, talk to the gang leadership.
The mentor comment really hurt to home because most of the time we mediate issues between community members and have to listen to a screaming match at times worse than a divorce mediator goes through. Not to mention the mentors I know who have spent their hard earned in-game money to assist newer players with learning the game, and do not get compensated for that. If you do not think a mentor is doing his/her job, please talk to them. Still think talking isn't working, please contact Robert our Lead Mentor.
And the admins, the admins who work their butts off trying to make a server you enjoy. They do this on their own time, and do not get paid for it. They have lives as well, and want to play video games as well. Just because it does not get done right away, doesn't mean it wont get looked at and sorted.
Yet I hear these comments, I wonder if the person making the comments has the bravery to tell this to an admin's face.
In a nutshell, this is a great community, probably one of the best in the world, which is why you find Americans playing on it. You want to make it better, help the community, don't hurt it with words. The problem is everyone is quick to use words, but isn't quick to try and resolve it with communication
