Hello guys, So in the recent update as you all know, the devs added in a zone, a red zone. And honestly, I'm not a fan of it, but that's just me. Apart from that, I love the recent update

Apart from the removal of the NCA hat D: (FeelsBadMan )

This post isn't just ripping out at any developers or people that implemented the Redzone, I simply just want to know what people think of the Redzone, and if it should be in the server or not :)

What are your reasons for not liking it?
I just don't think it's something that needs to be added in a Roleplay server, especially one this big, Obviously I'm a cop so I don't need to pay for gear etc, but I see the struggle of someone farming money up, roleplaying good, and when they try to gear up so they can have some fun, they just get shot on sight by a Hobo who joined the server an hour ago and just camps in the redzone sniping people, Obviously like I said, its my opinion and you're welcome to disagree, but I just don't think its something that needs to be in a serious roleplay community, theres always Rush  For KOS.

The red zone has always been a thing here at RPUK. It was only recently removed in the past year or so.

It invites the whole risk and reward aspect of things. People who want to go do the rooty tooty aim and shooty have a place to get together, exchange bullets and crumpets. Hopefully stay the hell off the island and stop bothering people.

Those who have elected to gear up have got to answer to these challenges because some of them come back to torment people who don't have gear.

I understand that, and maybe I didn't exactly tell you why I don't like the red zone, I don't actually mind the redzone, I worded it wrong. I don't like that the only Rebel outpost is the one in the Red zone. And of course the UNMC one but.... I just think if they added a Rebel outpost outside of the Redzone, my problem would be fixed, but as I said, it's may be just me.

Making the rebel outpost a no man's land was a great idea and builds more risk to the whole system.

Go with some buddies, move tactically (leopard crawling - where you eat dirt for the sake of not eating dirt) or simply get really good with pistols.

If you say so. I didn't want a debate Alan, if I did I'd have said I did, all I was doing was wanting to know what people wanted in the form of a poll.

Debating is the best way to find out! :) can never trust a poll, tbh. That's how Bush got in.

I think the problem with the Redzone is that it is non negotiable. If you want to do these things (Buy gun's) you need to go there. why would you need to buy these things? Because you don't have a gun. so you basically need to risk your life with no immediate way to defend yourself. This is not how a redzone should work. If the redzone was a place where you could go if you wanted a gunfight then that would be great! But it is forcing roleplayers to fight or what normally happens is just die.

My example of why I detest the redzone is this. I wan'ted to buy a blasting charge so I could (along with my group) Host a roleplay based robbery. I tried all of the redzones, and all 4 were being camped. As I've read manytimes on this forum Roleplay.co.uk puts roleplay on a pedestal above gunfights and other elements. Yet the redzone hads adversely effected this.

I do believe that the server should have a redzone, I just don't think people should be forced to use it.

Also Sanchez for prez.

I think what would make the redzone work. Is that there is a place where you can gear up that's outside the redzone. But the prices are way higher then. Just like the drug dealers. in kavala the highest payout but the highest risk. And the rebel outpost out of the redzone the lowest risk but the highest price. So people would still go to the rebel outpost if they really wanted to. But if they don't want the risk they can go to the other one but they will pay for it.

That already exists. It's just that people have not realised it yet however I have shared it with the Vandetta family
