The process of robbing/kidnapping?

Ok so I'm kinda new and I need to know this, couldn't find with search so I ask here:

1. How the process of robbing a person goes exactly? Have a pistol, knock them out, what next?

2. I'm trying to rob someone and initiate RP properly to rob him without killing him, but he just keeps resisting until I have no choice but to shoot him. Can I still take his money/in-mod items? I'm assuming the arma items in his backpack are offlimits, but what about the cash/pickaxe/lockpicks etc?

3. What about kidnapping? Hold the guy up, ziptie him, how to move in to a vehicle myself? Is there a timelimit until zipties wear out? Just explain the process please, assuming it's even possible at ALUK.

Bonus question: What happened to the possibility of scrapping vehicles? People no longer need to worry about losing their wheels? Why was this changed?

Thanks for all the helpful answers :)

The process of robbing someone should really involve a lot of good roleplay. I found when I played I wanted to at least make the person feel like "it was worth getting robbed." When I say worth I mean they at least got a good level of roleplay. There's loads of different ways to rob people. Mostly all you need to do is make them put their hands on their head and you "rob" them. Knocking out is a last resort and should only be done if the person is not complying with your demands. At the end of the day it's a high quality roleplay server not a stop drop and rob server. Just make sure you're giving the poor victim some sort of out and make it enjoyable for both of you guys.

The arma items are indeed off limits. However the potato sack that is dropped is free for yours to take. Money also sometimes drops and can also be picked up.

To answer your kidnapping question, yes you would ziptie them. You can escort the person with windows key and place them into a vehicle via windows key. I believe zipties do eventually fall off if they're restrained for a long person of time. Here's a roleplay perspective of kidnapping:

*Player x finds a victim at the weed field and wishes to kidnap them and ransom them*

"Oh hello sir, nice to meet you my name is PUT YOUR HANDS ON YOUR HEAD SON YER COMING WAE ME" - Player X

"I'm sorry about this pal but you've got an ugly face and yer picking ma plants I'm gonnae be taking you as a prisoner to feed you to my family" - Player X

Player y, the victim, complies and places hands on head.

You use Shift + R to restrain. Then they are your prisoner. From here you can decide their fate. Ransom them to the police, their family or just sacrifice them to god himself. There's many possibilities.

I cannot answer the last question as it's been a while since I've been able to play. If you have any further questions please feel free to PM me.

1. scrollwheel and steal their wallet! If you want more than that, for example their hat, force them to drop it as you cannot physically take it off them, nor can you take it when they're dead!

2. You can take his T/Y menu items (crumptet/spikes/zipties etc) and his cash.. You can also take their primary/secondary weapon IF it gives the option and is dropped on the  floor. If it doesn't give the option and/or is in their backpack, you cannot take it. You also cannot rearm on a persons body.

3. Ziptie the person, windows key and escort them. You can face your back to the vehicle and windows key again to put them in a vehicle and again windows key to get them out.

Police can still scrap them, so they do need to worry! It was due to an exploit which allowed for millions of £ to be made. (no details to be shared)

Thanks for all the helpful answers, helped a lot!

One more thing that comes to mind, can you use the Tempest device to auto-gather any resource or only the ones that require a pickaxe (such as oil/diamonds etc.)?

Lastly, I do hope that the scrapping mechanic for any players comes backin some form, like after fixing the exploit? Now I find I'm much less worried about highway robberies, like I can drive a HEMTT truck alone without so much risk of losing it for good, even if someone does rob me :p
