Hello everyone, My name is Flanders. I'm a member of the NHS application team and am a MTO (Medical Training Officer). I post this because it came to my attention that applications these days are poor and weak. So on this post I will give you some advice.
First of all I want to mention that in the server a lot of people ask me: “How to join the medics”. If you want to join the NHS you should first create an application. You simply go to https://www.roleplay.co.uk/forms/6-/ and start answering the questions. This is the point where a lot of things are poorly done. So here are some tips:
1. Be honest
I’ve seen multiple times that people who fail their applications, resend their application with a different age. First of all I want to mention that age is not really what the NHS care about. We are about high quality roleplay. So don’t lie about your age because it will only reduce your chance on succeeding.
2. Make a text
What I encounter a lot these days is that applicants their applications are really short. On the application you see there is a lot of space to write a short text. Use this to make your chances higher on succeeding. More information you give, more chance we have more faith in you as a member of the NHS.
3. Explore the Island
As a MTO it came to my attention that some students don’t know the mechanics. For example when ask to get out an ambulance, they respond: “How do I do that”. So I highly recommend first hanging around as an civilian and try our server mechanics before joining the NHS.
4. Spamming your application
We have encountered some cases where people are spamming their application by resending it every 5 minutes. There is no timeframe on an application, so we recommend you to wait for 48 hours. If there is still no answer after 48 hours, then you can contact an CST for looking at your application.
5. Declined
When your application get declined, you will most likely the first time get a response that says you can reapply within 48 hours. This means that you don’t send your application again in just the same way. Read why you are declined and try to improve on that, when you get declined after your 2nd application, you must unfortunately wait 2 weeks. Don’t send your application in again before those 2 weeks or your chances will drop significantly.
When your application get accepted, the first or second time. You must proceed to the interview stage. You can do interview whenever you want, but think twice before you go and wait in an interview room around 3AM. When you are ready you can go to the Waiting room in the NHS section of Teamspeak. Here is some advice on doing your interview.
1. Read the description
A lot of people forget to read the description in the interview room. The description of that room is one of the key elements to succeed, so if you don’t read it, you will probably fail. The description contains vital information on how to get your interview.
2. Contact the right person
When I’m in teamspeak minding my own business, I get messages from the interview room to commit their interview. As a MTO/Paramedic I’m not permitted to do that. The channel description and your acceptance respond on your application says clearly:
3. Be confident
I’ve seen a lot of people being nervous and stressed while doing their interview. There is no need for that at. So be confident about yourself ! We don’t bite.
4. Waiting for results
After you have done your interview, you will have to wait on your results. There can be 3 results:
A: You failed
You will have to wait 2 weeks to redo your interview
B: You have been pardoned with a score of 65+
This means you must (the first time) patrol with an MTO and after that first time you can with patrol with medics higher than PAR(amedic).
C: You have a score of 70+
You have done a really good interview and can patrol with a PAR(amedic) for the first time and after that you can join FA’s on their patrols.
When you finally made it in the NHS , you will be helped by CST. Down below is a useful link for when you made it:

When you failed, Try again later and maybe you have more success
Good luck !
