Hello There! Rifle D. Luffy Here with some interesting data.
I'm completely obsessed with numbers, figuring out the perfect route, the perfect truck for the perfect job.
I've been playing on the altis server for 2-3 weeks. I developed a love for the tranquil path of stuffing huge amounts of copper or weed inside a truck, processing it and delivering it to the designated trader, occasionally getting robbed by some pesky rebels on the way.
Anyway. I've been doing some calculations on a google spreadsheet document and although the data isn't completely finished, I wanted to release the data I've already collected for the time being on this link.

For those unable to venture forward... I'll give you a boring, quick experience.
Here is the data for the Copper and Weed Run Segments. (You might want to have the table from the spreadsheet open while reading this segment.)
I compare the 4 trucks... Box Truck, Tempest Transport (Covered), HEMTT Transport, HEMTT Box; Using a Quad Bike to record my time. (Slow and Easy to Obtain Speed makes it easier to calculate the distance per run).
According to the graph, here are the optimal situations to use each truck.
Box Truck - Need to do Quick Consecutive Runs for a good half-hour? The Box Truck is the go-to-truck. It has the fastest speed of all 4 trucks (115km/h), You won't take a lot of time loading the truck with copper, unloading the truck to process the ores or selling them at the trader.
Do not use the truck if you want to spend more than a hour doing runs because it gets outclassed by all the other Trucks.
The Box Truck Performs poorly on a weed run because of the longer distance compared to the copper run, it gets heavily outclassed even when compared to the Tempest Transport on a weed run.
(Recommended Run and Duration: Copper, ~30-45 mins max)
Tempest Transport (Covered) - A decent all-rounder truck that does well. After seeing the data presents. I'd only use the Tempest Transport because of its cheaper price compared to the HEMTTs. I would use this over the Box Trucker if you want to spend 60+ mins on the server.
(Recommended Run and Duration: Copper/Weed. ~60-120 mins max)
HEMTT Transport - A Very Solid Truck after 60 minutes of use. It outclasses the Box Truck after 60 mins on a Copper Run and makes it useless on a weed run. It does better than the Tempest Transport although it is a bit more expensive and fuel storage is bad on this truck.
"But Ruffy... The HEMTT Box does better than the HEMTT Transport, Why would I want this truck instead of the HEMTT Box?"
The HEMTT Transport has a nifty perk of being able to carry 15 people on its back, If you have friends that are willing to guard you on your run or friends at all, it can be helpful to use this truck compared to the 1 person HEMTT Box.
(Recommended Run and Duration: Copper, ~60+ mins. Weed, Any Time)
HEMTT Box - The God Truck. Boasting an 800 Storage Capacity and having the best performance compared to the other trucks. It is a very very good choice that only requires a slightly larger wallet and a little patience when handling the HEMTT Box. I would recommend on any Copper and Weed run because of the storage it can hold and average speed that pars with the HEMTT Transport.
Be careful when you carry a big truck like this on the highway.
