This thread is dedicated to fixing this bug.

I have been checking other servers this evening and speaking to another admin who has the bug occasionally meaning it looks likely that something server-side or in our code that is causing this issue more for us.

First attempt of fixing this is the following which was rolled out at 12pm suggested by Ciaran

  • 2 Admin features disabled
  • Hyper threading enabled
This could be a complete shot in the dark right now but we are trying things to fix this and discussing it in great length with other arma3 community's.

If you get the bug after 12pm today please post below, any more updates we try connected to this will be added to this post.

I just "spawned" in, with the bug, i had civ slot 74, 73 and 72. - spectated CSO Jonny4789 who used cop slot 1

Update: The creator of Altis Life (Tonic) has helped us out with our issue. It appears to be a issue with the amount of NPC's on the map not linked into the master group.

Tonic: "Max groups of 144 have been exceeded probably? The whole bird thing on ARMA 2 and early ARMA 3 are all related to the max amount of groups (144) being active at once. This is why I link all NPC's to the master_npc unit in BFE to keep them all in one group."

I will be working on the map tonight to fix these issues and link them all up. We thank tonic for his work, and now even more!

 
Thanks for all your efforts guy's, its easy to sit here and moan that you cant get in blah blah blah , im sure its frustrating from your side :) keep up the good work

Bloody bug, this makes me lose valuable time I could spend in a Strider.

 
Well the fix is in... looking for reports of this happening from this line onwards ---------------------

If it happens go back to the slots and keep trying the slots below and below again... sometimes this works... only workaround for now while we try and fix this pain in the ass
