The Cross Altis hunt for the Body glitcher!

So about 20 minutes or so ago, me and @MrBEAR were involved in a serious car accident, whilst waiting for a medic a Red SUV pulled up and body glitched me, and my pal. luckily enough my NLR timer was up so i quickly respawned and grabbed my hatchback sport and proceeded to bomb down the highway to find them and get their names.

we searched every town village and city we could until eventually we found them, at athira police station - upon pulling up they tried to rob us (with my own gear ) So upon passing him  note detailing his actions and that we have him recorded he immediatley dropped all the gear that he had glitched from us. he then started apologising etc. etc. so i asked him to get in my car, upon getting in my car we managed to get a full confession of what he had done, and he tried to feed aload of BS about how he didnt know it wasnt allowed ETC. ETC. even though he recited perfectly what message is displayed when you try to access a players inventory.


Long story short, we caught the body glitcher, got a full admission, got video evidence too.

Report to follow! one less B****rd in the server, hopefully.

And you jump to a decision to report him even tho he might be new and then probably read the rules afterwards?

Wrong, he did nothing but lie and feed us total B'S - he isn't new to the game and said himself he has been here for a long time. 

He was caught Out with his lies multiple times and even after that he still continued to lie. 

When we pulled up and got out the car and told him we knew what he done, he new EXACTLY what he had done wrong and immediately handed over everything he had took because he new he had been caught red handed. A new player wouldn't of acted in this manner.

I've come across so many exploiters in this community, at least 4 this week, I haven't reported any of them because I could tell they were genuinely sorry and they actually didn't know. This guy knew exactly what he was doing and did nothing but tall bullsh*t to us.

So Omligon - Thankyou for your opinion on the matter, I really don't know what I would of done without it, however the only person jumping to a conclusion here, is you.

I forgot to mention: said player was banned only 2-3 weeks ago for multiple RDM.

One would assume he would read the rules as instructed after being unbanned. Would you not agree Omligon?

Secondly I think you made this quite frankly pointless post 1) to gloat 2) to show off 3) to start some sort of discussion on the matter.

Otherwise you'd of just posted the report and be done with it, instead you post some narrative driven post about how you caught this guy glitching, got him to apologise (to save his own skin or not) then proceeded to double cross him. Pretty poor behaviour even if your intentions were (I use the term loosely) "justifiable".

I'm not even going to lie, absoloutley this post was to start a discussion and yes there is some gloating going on here, think of that what you like but here's why I felt the need to do it:

It was like 3AM in the morning and I died, I wanted to go to sleep but I wanted to wait for a medic first, I wait almost 20 minutes for a medic (and my friend even longer) then some absolute douche bag body glitches me as a medic is litterally only 1000m or so away.

Everybody that body glitches knows that what they are doing is against the rules because of the message that pops up when they try to access ssomeones inventory, and the only reason they do it is because they know they cannot be caught unless an admin sees it with their own eyes, because you can't get their names.

So we decided to drive for ages, searching every town and village we could until we found them. We took the initiative and caught exploiters red handed.

Body glitches are the scummiest of scum out there and you should be pleased that there is going to be one less on the island...

There is absolutely nothing here that states you cannot use information passed onto you by someone who did not die to find someone who exploited the game after you have re spawned.

After I crashed the police impounded my car, so I couldn't see my own body it was only after I got body glitched that I was sent a message saying that someone was body glitching me, after I finished my smoke and re spawned - headed to my garage got my vehicle out, picked my friend up and went on the search.

I don't know what type of attitude you're insinuating I have to be honest

Why don't you tell me what you think I should have done differently in the situation? but take these things into consideration:

• Admins were being contacted via Team speak and mobile the whole time but I didn't get a single response
  
• I didn't break any rules
  
• I caught an exploiter red handed
  
• without doing what we did there there would still be another exploiter running around the island (in fact he still is, he instantly logged out after and changed his display name - I haven't had the time to file a report yet)
  
• The case was NOT resolved because it wasn't a matter of what I had lost, it was the actions that he took which is the most annoying (Body Glitching)
  
• After the incident I had the guy in my car and was texting admins to come to my location - Still no response. so I told him to go away and I posted this post.

Let me tell you what you should have done...

Firstly, you did break a rule (yes to find an exploiter but a rule is a rule) NLR.

Secondly, you should have respawned, started your new life BUT send a message to the Admin System with the gear you had. After this, you could also ask the Admin if you can use your key chain ONLY to get the name, not the car, not the gear, nothing.

To answer your question about what you should have done, you should have not acted the way you did by chasing him down (NLR) and you should have just reported him like everyone else.

I didn't realise i was playing the server for months before it opened, maybe im in the wrong community, this is altislife.co.uk that started in February 2014 right? not July 2015?

I think the way you handled things is bad, from the first writing i was thinking 

"Great, he's explained the rule to the guy and then he's forgave and forgot but posted to show newer players that there is no need to be so petty to report if it can be solved"

That however isn't the case, and infact you're just trying to make yourself look good (Failed there bud)

and you just wanted to shame the guy and get him banned.

Thanks for playing to ban, That is exactly what we don't want to see around here, or infact in any part of the gaming community as a whole, so for you my friend, i think you need to step back from your PC and think about why you'd want to act so childishly and re-evaluate your playstyle.

How would I go about reporting a player who's name I simply cannot acquire?

the only way to report this player was to find him, and get close enough to get his name. it was either do this or never be able to find out who the exploiter is. yet I'm getting stick for it?
