The benefits of a taru

Hey everyone,

Nowadays the sky is swarming with tarus as soon as things are going down. I was wondering why people are using this chopper so much.

From first sight, I can’t really find any obvious reasons to prefer it over other choppers as it is scrap on sight and has no slingloading capabilities nor any storage.

Just really curious,

me

The main use is for uranium runs.

Stores more than a Huron and is worth less, meaning less loss if you scrap it.

Also relatively easy to fly and land.

@OG Styx at the rebel market the capacity is shown as “none”. Might have misread it as I was afraid to get shot in the redzone. How much capacity does the taru have and does the variant of the taru you buy matter?

Thanks for the quick and informative response by the way!

No problem!

Taru definitely has storage as several members in OG use it for runs. I can't say exact specifics myself as I don't fly one, but i'm sure @Simen may be able to give those figures.

Unless it has been changed recently, the Taru has 550 storage where the Huron has 700.

Our main benefit for the Taru is is relatively good armour while being able to provide decent thermals, as well as many finding it easier to operate than a hellcat.

@Liquidian allow Lt. Raptor to correct me, he knows his stuff! However the price difference is still a main factor, which i'm guessing is why people tend to opt for it. Cheaper helicopter, better all-rounder, still enough space to make you a lot of money.

@OG Styx cmon bro, you should know huron has more storage that taru smh
I don't fly that shit boy, I get the hobos to farm/process/sell for me!

Only thing I need to make money is a weapon ;)

Hellcat is more than good enough for my antics.

Incorrect on the storage point. Taru Transport has 500 storage while a Huron has a 700.

Main reason many including myself have 5 is they all have thermals, the armour of an Orca and are very easy to fly meaning you can thermal and fly quite easily.

Hummingbird - super maneuverable, fast landings + easy for beginners, benches which people can snipe off of

Orca - flying ifrit, don't even bother shooting at it unless you can get the pilot, decent storage

Hellcat - has thermals, pretty shit though and needs 2 people to fly unless you're pretty good, decent storage

Taru - really maneuverable (compared to others in its weight class), pretty well armored, thermals, even better storage, has benches or secured seats in the back which people can snipe off of
