Steam-Level

I think you need to combine those weird trading cards or some stupid stuff like that. Don't waste your money on it.

 
It's based on gaining steam "XP".

The most common way to get steam XP is via badges, these are gained through either steam achievements (like number of games owned, years on steam, etc), or through the trading card badges.

 
Make trading cards into badges, get's you xp which levels you up.

 
You get trading cards by playing games, or purchasing in-game items or purchasing off the market. Then go to badges section and you will have the option to craft a games bade if you have all the trading cards for that particular game.

Okiee.. so i'm really into steam leveling and collecting "things" on steam

so if you want to level up you need to know a few things

  • It costs alot.. later on at higher levels
  • You can level up in a few ways 1 being the best was making "badges" from cards the others are events on steam (they are rare)
  • The are not too many benefits with leveling.
Okiee! lets get started if you want to buy cards to level up here is the best place to find the cheapest sets of cards.

You can get card drops but it takes so much time to really get them all here is the best way to farm cards 

To level up go to here on your steam, you can see what cards you need.

Only level 23, when they released the trading cards thing, I tried it out, then got bored with it.

But then again I've also been a steam user for about 10 years now...

I had a 11 year account.... sold for £50..... (0 games apart form the free HL2 etc)

I started leveling when it came out and i just slowly started to level up and up ^-^

 
Your steam level also determines your maximum allowed number of friends.  so if you fill up your friends quota you can level up your steam account to unlock more slots.
