Hello all
Although I have only been on Altislife.co.uk a few weeks, I've been a long time player of Altis life itself and where ever I go there always seems to be this similar situation occurs...
My gripe is the etiquette of RP with some players, I understand that new players and even old want to be in the conversation or get some attention, but some times it can be plain rudeness that steals the scene, and you'll not get the desired response or interaction with said citizens.
Some tips from old B.D
- Don't interrupt people mid conversation, experienced players will notice and include you in the conversation if they feel the need to, no one wants to hear "HEY GUYS? GUYS!?" mid way through a conversation. Too many time's I've been in a good conversation with someone to hear some nagging fool behind me trying to get attention, it's straight up rude.
- If you are having a one to one, generally wait until on person stops talking for a few seconds, many time's I've heard people jabbering on cross talking over each other
- If a certain event is going (I.e a guy being arrested) and you need or want to talk with someone uninvolved, move to another area to talk.
- Talking louder because you can't hear helps no one!
- Remember that Cops have pretty much seen the basic stuff, laying in the road going "owww my leg" won't grasp their attention, nore should it, try and be original but don't make up lie's just to get attention.
- If you need a quiet conversation go in a car!
- Personally, when I play in a group, we designate a spokes person to deal with most of the negotiations/hostage/demands.
- If arrested in a group, you stand a much better chance of no being sent to jail if you keep quiet, calm and make up a good RP story. Cops will deal with you one by one, all talking at the same time will just increase your chances of jail.
- Ask to be moved to a quiet area if you're being arrested! most cops will do this!
I post this in a aid to help new players learn the game more, we all are trying to have fun at the end of the day, but no one like a unstructured blabber feast! hope this helps!
