So it's been along time comming but here I record the story so far of Avion Solar, King of the Rolling checkpoint.
Having been born in Yorkshire, England Solar initially found he did well in school from an academic perspective but found that as a result of him focusing too hard on his studies he was not as accepted socially. Nevertheless Solar was content with this and continued to work hard going to college where he obtained a legal qualification before moving on to university to further his own knowledge.
In the end however he didn't know what to do and then he saw it an advert for the Altis Police Service. Always having had a strong moral compass and believing it was his duty to try protect people he sought to try his luck and a few months later found himself shipping off to that mediterainin island to become a Constable for the roads policing unit. Solar thrived here growing as a person as he rose though the ranks, her found he had a special fondness for teaching and educating newer officers and quickly found himself rising though the ranks of the Service before developing his infamous rolling checkpoint to crack down on the illegal supply of drugs and weapons being smuggled over the island. This lead to him being promoted to the chief superintendent of the unit and over time he implemented new training methods and tactics to the unit making them one of if not the most disaplined and effective units on Altis. His efforts did not go un noticed and he was soon made an assistant and then deputy chief constable. However the constant political maneuvering of all such pistons became wearing and Solar took a leave of absence from the job to re discover himself.
It was a few years before Solar returned to the island and found it had changed and not necessarily for the better. In his absence the island had come to represent an occupied war zone more than a peaceful slice of the Mediterranean with people more likely to shoot first and ask questions later. In this time Solar worked hard to try address the issue though educating officers and cracking down on the gangs but it was too late and his help was not wanted, the public had lost confidence in the police.
That is when it happened a letter from an officer he had worked with extensively in the past Merek Kray talking about a new place in need of help the city of Los Santos.
After a long think and heavy heart Solar left Altis and moved his life once again arriving in the city and soon joining the Los Santos Police service. After a short while he joined the recruitment and development team alongside being a traffic officer of the roads policing unit. Brining new methods such as the use of training videos and bwv examples Solar was soon made sergeant in the recruitment and development team and after hard work and a lot of paperwork was made Inspector and changed to head the same team. During his tenure he re worked the recruitment process, remade the officer safety training and introduced the assessed patrol a new test officers would have to pass in order to show thier competence and be made substantive. Then he heard that the Abraham McLean he head of his division was to retire and he was to take his place as head of frontline. And that's where we are today. What does the future bring? We will have to see.
