Skill Points

Hello everyone, basically I have a question, that question is this:

• How do you actually earn skill points?

The reason for this is that I noticed a while back that when I sell things after a run, I get XP, but it's not XP towards skill points, its XP towards that profession.

I have noticed getting skill points at very random times and now I'm just confused, so if you could help with this at all that wold be great!

But I've managed to get them during weed runs, but only random ones and it's completely f*cked my brain up

You get xp for mining , and processing with selling you gain profession xp

Diamonds do give a lot of XP for skillpoints as wel. Every time you press on your pickaxe it gives you about 2xp?
