Shooting from an offroad

Is it okay to shoot from the back of an offroad / truck when roleplay has been initiated? For example, the police jump out to shoot at your tires can you then shoot back at their tires? 

Same goes for any scenario where roleplay has been initiated, such as rebel on rebel chases and gunfights.

You cannot shoot from the back of an offroad as far as I know. If you do and you hit someone, the VDM script will engage on that person and they'll take a tumble. I guess it will count as VDM too but I'm not too sure.

It is not against the rules but because the way the VDM script works it counts as a VDM... I think. Basically the idea was to prevent people from doing it and encourage RP but really it's just a pain. Well that's what I heard.

I read a player report once, someone was shot from the back of an offroad and the vdm script kicked in, the guy who was shot then reported the shooters and the ban was immediately denied, so i am fairly sure that it doesn't actually count as vdm in terms of a rulebreak. But i'd ask a mod or above just to be sure.

I shot police from side of heli ( back in my rebel days)afterwards cop came in saying  " yeah good gunfight, but that guy who shot from the heli. You done a VDM script on me that gave me 100 hp in the fight! Im not bothered but i could report you and it counts as exploiting" or along those lines.

We have had this issue before on a patrol, it is possible to kill someone who is in a veichle.

Shoot the tires out mate , make them hit a wall , done it a few times

'STOP hands in the air or I'll shoot you!'

perfectly allowed. As long as you're not shouting from one trying to initate that way, same for any truck, I do believe.

The VDM script does not kick in if you use an Armed Off-Road MG. I believe so at least
