Shoot out ( need help )

So yesterday before the 12 am server restart i was at the copper mine with my mowhawk messing about. I ran up the hill to my buddy to give him some cash to help him gwet started. When i look back there was a offroader with 3 people. 2 armed and 1 unarmed. Ao i got ready to rp. I got as close as i can ( but a bit hidden as they seamed like they would shoot on sight) i started yelling in district chat to get awau from my mowhawk im the copper field or il shoot. They were trying to pick the locks. I shouted at them for a good 5 min with no responce i even typed in sidechat just to make sure they heard. I gave clear discription i was talking about them ( couldend type their name as i didend ask them) moments later he broke in my chopper getting ready to take off when i yelled that im going to shoot if he dosent get out ( you guessed it he dident) so i shot and killed him. ( he was one of the armed guys) the other arm guy ran for cover i wasent going to shoot his friemd who had nothing on him as i found him not to be a threat. Untill he jumped in to my chopper and tried to fly off them i shot him. After that the server restarted. Did i do the right thing (seeing i gave them plenty of notice) or is this RDM. I was just protecting my self agenst these bandits

- When at a trader/processing plant/mine you are prone to having your vehicle shot at. This is also part of rp as it is a way for the attackers to prevent you from running (It didn't happen here, I'm just pointing it out).
 

- You are free to engage in a warning shot (Defined as a non-lethal and non-direct shot at the enemy) in situations where a) rp has failed (they are not acknowledging your calls) and B) You are too far away to be heard and don't have time to message them.

- If there is still no response and you are in danger of losing your life or possessions - you are free to KOS.

Thanks for the heads up. Next time when im RP il fire a warning shot next to them if they are not responding to make them aware im there ( just incase if they havent heard me yell)

Fair warning regardless of RP and how long you RP people usually still complain in side channel when you kill them. If you were in the right there is no need to bother talking to them as they will probably go on about it for 15 minutes.(Always have recording software going as proof btw) This has happened numerous times since I've been around the server and I usually chop shop their vehicles for not cooperating as punishment. (If people cooperate I don't kill them and sometimes don't chop their vehicles.)
