Servers

Are the servers connected between them? I mean if you play on server 3 then only server 1 is open if you go to server 1 will you have the progress saved or you have to keep the same server ? Because if you start to play on server 3(like i did) and it's closed it's not very nice

All progress is linked between the 3 servers.

if you earn 300k on server one you will have that money on 2&3 as well.

If you take out a car in a restart and abandon it on server 1, move to server 2 without garaging that car it won't be there because it is in use on a different server, of that makes sense.

You will lose the last 15 minuets of money/progress if you haven't synced data before the server goes down/restart/you log. It is YOUR responsibility to switch to a different server if you see that server 3 is empty and server 2 has a few spaces. You can check this in-game by using shift tab, web browser and typing in altislife.co.uk. The website has the player counts for all servers.

Ok thanks , I got it with that. But why all the time you log in you have to respawn?

Sorry if this is a noob question but i'm new to arma

Unfortunately Altis Life isn't as complex as say... DayZ in that it stores the location of your player and loads you back in the same place every time.

The ALUK servers will remember your gear, money, vehicles, etc, but every time you connect to the server you will have to select a location to spawn in. (Don't abuse that though to try and teleport from one location to another as its against the rules and a bannable offence). It's perfectly fine though to respawn in a different town if you have just died. i.e. you died in Athira, you can then respawn in Kavala.

You could log out in the middle of nowhere and you wouldn't want to have to run that far with no car, due to the fact it despawns.

I suppose it's because we have so many players here they'd have to do some sort of wipe or something regularly that would cause difficulties, so I guess respawning is better.

Also, if you fancy role playing as ARaC and you have the license, it would make it easier to spawn there rather than in the middle of the sea where you logged.

Ok and another question: if you buy a rebel license you can rob people? And if you are a rebel do you have to have a gang? And if you are a rebel do you have to apply for whitelist or something like that on forum because i saw a section called whitelisted rebels.

1. You don't need a rebel license to rob people. Rebel license is required only to be able to purchase assault riles and other rebel gear.

2. If you are a rebel, you do not have to be in a gang, but it's a hard life on Altis on your own, so having some friends help.

3. There are currently no Whitelisted rebels. There used to be (UNMC) and will be in the future, but right now there aren't any.

You can rob people without the license. You are free to roleplay as a nice guy, civ, badass rebel, literally anything within reason.

You do not have to have a gang, you can be a lone wolf although it will be harder seeing as there is strength in numbers. Joining a gang is adviseable.

no that is for the UNMC which is a separate faction yet to return to Altis. I believe applications for members are closed but they will more than likely re-open.
