Why is the server sometimes locked ?

Server locked ?

No like throughout the evening the server just locks for like 30 seconds and then "un"locks which makes the server population fall to 115 then instantly to 120 again. Haven't seen any posts regarding this
Never heard of or noticed that one... are you using steam or the arma browser to connect ?

Arma browser, once in a while the server just locks, for 20 seconds, then it unlocks and then you can join as if nothing happened

Using Arma browser to join.
Been trying to join either of the two servers over last 48 hours. Server #2 is illusive and have only had the pleasure of joining it when it appears on server list (which is quite rare) but when it does it usually has around 20 to 30 players on it.
#1 I managed to join late night around 3 days ago. Ever since (mainly over last 24 hours) it remains locked until it is full, at which point padlock disappears but server is of course full. Even if there are 113/120 server is still locked. I'm taking this caption right now and it's 16:52 GMT so you can see what I mean.

Frustrating because I would love to join but cannot as #1 is locked and #2 is not showing up on the browser no matter what filter I use. Also confused how it gets full if it's locked...
Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Ok server 1 and 2 do something called staggered join I believe, it is to prevent the server from crashing with all the 120 people downloading the mission file at the same time. Please be patient and you could await for it to be unlocked or await a later time where the servers are stable and you can download the mission file with ease.
In simple terms it is locked so everyone isn't downloading the mission file at the same time, preventing the server from crashing.
Also please refrain from posting these sorts of topics in the future and speak to a member of staff on the teamspeak server @ TS.AltisLife.co.uk
