Hello, does anybody know when server 3 is going to be up and running?

 
When server 1 and 2 have been full for some time i think... 

But currently it's down for a hardware upgrade.. (Correct me if i'm wrong)

Server 1 will become server 3 tomorrow and the new server will become server 1

Meaning we are slowly replacing/keeping up to date hardware across our "fleet"

Why does a hardware upgrade take so long?
Server 3 isn't available for over a week now?
It doesn't take that long to upgrade hardware right, correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm guessing it's coming from an external hosting company? They probably have more customer's.

 
Depends what you ordered @Odd Future our new server is overclocked and on a new generation of processor and parts had to be ordered in to our datacentre we have had it for id say around a week now however certain configurations needed to be set-up after windows was installed.

Yes we haven't rushed with it mainly due to the fact we was monitoring the 2 servers we have and providing logs to Bohemia on a problem might i had that still is not fully fixed there end, Its also been used as a bit of a testing ground.

We will add it tomorrow as Server 1... however if all 3 servers go online that's another matter, we are still monitoring Police and NHS numbers and without a full house the experience on server 3 if it went online would not be one we would be comfortable with, Saying that I am not fully comfortable with the quality of RP on the other servers but hey! you cannot babysit every player hence our strict rules and tough unban process.

We have a very good relationship with our datacentre, however things take time when you ask for things that they do not normally offer :)

 
I doubt you will see any difference @Odd Future in terms of server side performance, our servers are hitting the max that you could ever see in Arma (client side is a different story) but we always feel its important after some time to chop and change boxes.

Not related to this topic, Looking into the cause of the crash no doubt its the same reason so we will prep the logs.

 
@Wilco thank you for keeping us updated/ explains the background to things, it honestly means a lot to allow the community to be notified.
