Server 2 - DLC Required?

Looks like the addition to Server 2 and the Apex items doesn't play well with those of us who don't have the DLC, keep getting the following error:

Will this be resolved for the Server 1 rollout at 12am or will we have to have the DLC??

Affirm, can join Server 1 / PTS fine, can't join Server 2 but friends with the Apex DLC can join it perfectly fine

You should still be able to play if it has Apex items inside the map.

I could be wrong but I believe all the map objects/textures are only available if you own the dlc. Looks like they added some apex objects to altis.

Im not sure but my friends who have apex can also join perfectly. It seems like a compatibility issue between those who dont have apex and the server

How Bohemia have done it is that if you do not own the DLC can

-Can use DLC weapons and vehicles (to an extent), but will have a ad pop up every now and then. 

-Cannot join maps that has DLC objects in the Mission File.

So, you may not join the server if it has Tanoa objects when you down own Apex.

Go figure... they allow the Apex vehicles to be used in Altis but not the map items.....

I will remove them, Do not worry non apex peeps!

Yeah i want to buy apex but for £25, but you can buy a brand new game for that price and with apex, unfortunately you dont get a new games worth of content in it.

We had the same trouble with the police server, seems kind of silly. The assets are there regardless...

Pretty sure the assets aren't "there". The guns/vehicles came as part of the APEX update (so you don't need the DLC), but the terrain, models, etc. come as part of the actual DLC.
