Bascially im having a problem with my gpu first off it was saying it wasnt detected now i got the drivers installed but this keeps happening

It seems to work okay when plugged straight into the mobo but the gpu is acting up

its an r9 270x

Try booting into safe mode, hopefully you can do so.

As you have updated drivers I would suggest whilst in safe mode removing all traces of the driver and then try rebooting back into windows.

I would suggest you remove your GPU to do this so that windows doesn't try to automatically try to install drivers when starting up, allow your computer to boot fully and shut down cleanly to ensure that part is functioning properly. Then plug your GPU back in (ensure the PCI slot is clean and free of dust & power is properly connected) and then see if it will boot with the standard windows drivers.

If that is all successful then go grab the latest drivers and re-install.
