Scavenging for materials

Are there locations in the city where you can search for materials (metal, plastics, electronics etc)? Or are there jobs which allow you to aquire these?

My character is a hobo who trades his dumpster finds for stuff he needs (mainly booze). Have used this character on other servers and got materials either by searching bins or being a binman.

This is something best finding out in RP mate, try to locate and speak to people within the industry or ask everyone you see. Someone will be able to help you in character
