I would just like to remind every one to be safe on what information you give out about your self, because I have seen many people give out quite personal information. I know most people do know this however for those whom do not, never give away personal information such as address, full name, date of birth, passwords and email addresses, these are just a few examples.
The reason for this is most of the time you do not know who you are speaking to, you may talk to them every day, and get to know what they say they are however when you get to hard fact's, you have no clue who the guy/girl is. I am not saying every one is a lier, most people in this community are very nice polite people however this is just a precaution.
If you ever come across someone asking for this information and pushing you to do so, just get a mentor and tell him/her the situation, because no one in this community needs to know your address, full name, passwords, or date of birth. You may need to give your age when applying for the police/NHS, however they will never ask for the month or date.
Also be careful of links, before you click on a link someone may send you make sure you know it's a trusted website, some harmful website's can even collect private information.
Now just to round up, I am not trying to worry and one or point fingers I just want to make sure every one knows how to stay safe. If you have any safety concerns you can always contact a member of staff or private message me. Thanks.
Regards, Reece.
