(5.4) When you are revived/downed:

You may not actively enter or continue any combat situation for the next 15 minutes.

So how does this apply for Police, say I get shot but picked up by a medic / another officer. Cannot I not then continue my duties. Of course not all aspects of the Police involve "combat" but a lot of the actions you need to do lead to it, e.g Shooting tires etc. So can I not do any of that until 15 minutes? Or is it more like if I'm forced into PvP combat (Someone shoots at me first) then I'm allowed to get involved.

Is tazing someone considered combat? If so then am I allowed to enter that before 15 minutes I get revived? I can see what the rule is in place for (Getting revived mid gunfight and carrying the gunfight on) but can an admin define "Combat" and how it affects Police?

When you are revived and finished RP'ing with the Medics and for some reason some geezer shoots at ye, yer aloud ti shoot back cos then technically that guy is RDM'ing, unless it was already a active firefight which in that case then the Medic would be breaking rules, but either way after you've been revived and you get shot at then you are able to fire back.

So the way this works, if you get revived by a medic you cannot "willingly" enter a gunfight for 15 minutes, now say for example someone initiated on you then yes you can get involved because you did not cause or enter the gunfight.

In terms of doing your duty, you'd be doing that by performing routine traffic stops etc. not all of policing is gunfight related 😉

To be honest, I also have issues with this rule. Yesterday pavlic shouted at me because some guy took out a gun and I didn't do anything, even when he passed right in front of me. I just don't go into any combat for 15 min and if it happens, I hide/run away

So shouldn't the rule state "You cannot cause or continue any gunfights for the next 15 minutes" because technically you're allowed to enter a gunfight but not allowed to cause one.

I was tired, I swear I'm always posting stuff in the weirdest places at night

Think about it like this, if some person pops around the corner with his rook and starts popping shots off at you, you'd want to pull your gun out and shoot back which is also what I would want to do, it's all about common sense really, so rule 5.4 is all about common sense, if you feel your life is in danger because someone pulls a gun on you we expect you to act accordingly and defend your life, but what we don't want is people going entering a gunfight or causing one, that's it, so defending your life is no issue.

Yeah? I know and agree about this. Was just confused to the wording, possibly change enter to create or cause
