The RNLIA is something I've been attempting to establish on the island for the last week to try and plug the gap faced with off-shore rescues. Currently, the NHS service hasn't had its diving equipment delivered; and with an increase in naval activity recently we need something like this. ​
 ​
Now before you worry, I'm not trying to steal any of MPU's thunder whatsoever. My original plan was to name this the Civil Coastguard, however that name suggests that we are a law enforcement agency. The RNLIA is simpoly here to try and rescue those in peril out at sea. ​

I haven't informed anyone other than a handful of people about this organisation, and I still wish to remain a part of AEGIS. Anyone that would like to join in is free to do so, and I won't in any way encourage/force people to leave their gang or group.​
 ​
I'm not expecting anyone to particularly be interested in joining, however I'd love to see some co-operation from the NHS and Police. At one point I had an officer roleplay it with me, however I've had to keep approaching officers at the station, as my 999 updates are rarely responded to. ​

The Look​

Because of our volunteer nature at the RNLIA, we currently have no uniform or dedicated vehicle. Civillian Offroads are the best vehicle for use, as they have a large logo space and perform well on beaches. Our sea-power is represented by the standard motorboat, and in the air we fly any helicopter available to us. ​

If you can come back to me with some evidence of a need for the RNLIA and perhaps a record of it being used to save someone I would be very interested in making a large monetary donation to assist in the purchase of equipment and or vehicles.

I think this is something that should be discussed with a senior medic / Chief Medical Officer, to see if certain medics can get permission to use the medic slot, but be able to change the tag to RNLI. <Name> Eg. RNLI. Stealthee, but also see if we can work with the police to get any medics on duty with the permissions to join the team/tag to equip them up, as to my knowledge they are able to give us diving equipment.

Myself, would be interested in joining the team if the diving equipment can be sorted.

*EDIT: Reason to have medics on the team, ofc is to bring the civs and medic factions closer along with the police, have them working as a team to save a life etc.

Will be more than happy to. Our recent video equipment has been upgraded after we were targeted by people extorting the fact we are an un-armed organisation. As soon as we get video evidence, I'll upload it. (though this will require the police/nhs/someone to actually roleplay it)

 
I was also  trained lifeguard :) i did suggest a dedicated coastguard other than MPU, inbetween MPU and a medic i guess, MPU and coastguard work together, it would be good for MPU good for the community

 
RNLIA Were deployed in an attempted off-shore rescuse after a collision between an MPU unit and a civilian boat. No Police Officers were harmed, however the two gentlemen were pronounced dead on scene.

Thanks to Doris in the store room, personnel were issued non-waterproof cameras, and this was all that was obtained before the camera konked out.

 
Is there anything in the clothing store you could wear with the rebreather to make it look different? tried any of the pilot gear with rebreather? just to stand out hehe

 
RNLIA Were deployed to Kavala beach after a vehicle was driven into the water. After a checkup was made of the driver, and of the gentlemen who dived in to help save him; all involved dispersed. Nobody harmed, just a bit of shock for the driver.

MPU are more than happy to assist RNLI as they are basically providing us with extra eyes on the water.

Altis Salvage Inc. are also keen to assist wherever possible as diving and maritime specialists. A.S. Inc. also regularly use a Mohawk over the oceans that we could lend assistance with.

Glad to hear, it's going to be difficult to worm my way in with this role, but im determined!
