"Yeah, this vehicle belongs to a friend of mine" 

I am pretty sure that most Civs (including myself) frequently use this excuse when getting pulled over by the police for driving a wanted vehicle.

What I'm looking for is some suggestions for some actual good excuses for these kind of situations. I have to admit that sometimes it's very convenient to just let the police impound your car and just get a new one out. I however feel kinda bad for boring the police so much, and love to hear some ideas! 

 
If I am honest whenever a hobo says this to me I just get the urge to shoot them in the face.

 
Just something taht can lead to different avenues of roleplay

'Well it's actually my girlfriends car but she gave it to me an i just found out she cheated so..'- i'm pretty sure a cop would find this funny and you could both rip into this imaginary person/ get another player involved and go hunting for them etc or something!

 
I once told a cop about how it was my aunts brothers nans grandads sons cousins car and it ended in us spending an hour tracking down said cousin and confusing some poor hobo that was in the process of buying some rabbit meat when I jumped out of a police car and screamed 'THAT'S HIM, THATS THE COUSIN.'

 
Some of the simpler ones I have used in the past:

- I stole it. (Good when your wanted for a lot of money).
- Just bought it at auction.
- I'm just a fleet driver, taking it to a dealership.
- Company issued vehicle.

Honestly though, I find the best way is to create a story one that explains how you ended up, by no fault of your own, with a car that may/may not belong to someone wanted... the more crazy and amusing the story, the better.

You could always just say "I've got a million snipers in the area, if you don't let me go immediately then you die". I always love that excuse.

(If you can fit "VALUE YOUR LIVES OFFICERS!" somewhere in there too it always helps)

 
Use your imagination. use something unqiue and dont copy everyone else.

If you have a high bounty:

"Oh yes officer. I stole this vehicle".

Would this work you think? xD
