Currently the 10 minute minimum prison sentence and the 20 max I feel actually takes away role play when it comes to a prison break. What it promotes is a quick firefight and just as quick to flee. Another issue however, is the police 'negotiaters'. PCSO's are not qualified 9/10 unless you have someone who has been on the server or role playing for a lot longer than they've been a PCSO. PLF took the choice of warning the police that we would start a jailbreak and we wanted a negotiator. Due to technical difficulties our original negotiator had to drop out and a PCSO steps in, I told him we wanted our man out of the prison and that we had a plan. An SDV was left in Kavala bay with a civilian inside, he only had a very limited amount of oxygen left, not enough time for police divers to interject unless given exact cords. The PCSO responds saying that they've done checks with radiation (I believe he meant radio waves/sonar etc but that's just being pedantic) and there is no SDV in the bay. When there was. I'd placed it there myself so the role play would be believable. He immediately shut down any hopes of negotiations by denying our hand with no basis. Neither of the SGT's stood next to him even interjected. They just let the firefight that was boiling up happen. We ended up breaking out our friend anyways by killing any police who got in our way. But I think we can all agree when I say firefights don't need to be the answer to every situation. This post is extremely similar to FriendlyFire guys bank job post. (He actually commented on Vlads stream saying well done for the role play attempt. I'm sure he'll comment here too as he seems like one of the small few who are trying to promote negotiations for the sake of role play). All I'm asking is either advice, or even suggestions in the future from police and Rebels. If I wanted to just shoot people everytime I want something, I'd go play wasteland.
