Anyone who robs a hobo doing cider is a dingus. I would say join a gang, so there's someone to keep you safe.

Howdy.

I do understand your frustration, and I had a similar experience when I first moved to the island. Realistically, this island of ours is full of armed criminals looking to make a quick buck and the police can't be everywhere at once. It's not ideal for solo play. Or rather, it's not ideal to solo doing any activity that makes you a target.

Whilst it can be frustrating, it does encourage people to work together. You'll get robbed less if you join a gang and do these runs using the safety of numbers. Alternatively, you could do what I did. Join the police. You make good money, lots of friends, and you have backup when it's needed.  For solo play, travel with nothing other than the clothes you're wearing. RP with people, and when you do get robbed, you lose nothing.

Don't throw the towel in yet, get out there an meet people.

Good luck.

I myself and many other rebels have a strict policy against robbing hobos. Any gang that goes out and robs hobos cannot be called a real rebel gang. You're probably extremely unlucky to run into them.

By the way I suggest joining the NHS instead of Police. You get paid more and the recruitment process is easier. No offense to @CSI LONG BEARD of course, but choosing Police limits your ways of making money in some ways.

also thank you for everybodys time here im sorry i just got frustrated and wrote this paragraph i just came to the island new and im slightly ticked off

I think I've seen you about a bit and robbing people is a lot more common now than it was when I joined, which makes getting started quite a bit tougher.

There is, of course, safety in numbers. But I've made most of my money solo as I find it's more effective that way. Some tips that might help you if you keep trying to make money alone:

- Go legal. You'll find a more relaxed community around legal ways of making money, most likely because people are less on edge. As well as this, most *respectable* gangs tend to avoid robbing people making a legal earning, especially if they seem new. Also, the police will be friends rather than foes which can be very helpful.

- Call the police to the metal exports. If you're selling at the exports near kavala, ask the police to pull up there to help deter any bandits. This method isn't massively reliable though.

- Avoid the high-risk runs and areas. If you're selling at the metal exports and trading around Kavala, you're putting yourself at more risk than you need to. The metal exports is the trading point of 4 different runs, 3 of which are active and effective (aluminium, iron, and steel). Try doing something which is a little more out of the way of the general population, to begin with, I would suggest doing salt. It may not pay as great but it's ideal for starting up.

- Be prepared to defend yourself. Have a weapon out and make it clear that you're prepared to use it, the rebels may not want to risk their lives (gear) for the small potential payout. You could try roleplaying with them and persuade them to take less, although it depends who you're dealing with.

- Plan your route. Don't just take the most direct route there if it means you'll have to drive through areas with a rebel presence. You want to avoid people as much as possible on your way there.

- Stay away from suspicious vehicles. Things to look out for are quilins full of rebels, or hatchback sports that slow down to watch you or follow you from a distance. Being able to identify a threat is probably what keeps me the safest during my runs, if you sense danger then call the police or store your vehicle and sell at another time. I personally like to drive a decoy truck full of rat kebabs to test if an area is safe...

You're going to want to start taking risks at some point to earn larger payouts but wait until you have a foundation to afford the losses that you're bound to experience. Begin by making some money safely and slowly and if that's not your thing, join a gang ^

If you want to make money doing legal - Salt is a good way because it means you avoid the metal exports but it is longer & you get less.

It seems that original gangstas have started a rebel police department, it has 2 patrolling unites atm with Killersky and mad yoke. Send a message on phone at any time while doing a legal run and we will story e robbers.

on a serious note: everyone had a rough start, that's the grind that makes you play. You want to get better richer bigger and more powerful, as for now I can only recommend you joining a gang. Have a look at the gang section, join a gang and have your sweet revenge robbing those hobo rebels that stole you cash.
