To begin, I would just like to mention that this report is for exploiting. The situation began when WiLLY and his gang mates began to try and rob the hemmits we had parked on the shore, full of blood diamonds. After talking to and robbing some of our allies, WiLLY comes out of nowhere and begins to intiate on me with non-lethal force, by saying that he will RKO me. Of course this is fine, but he then begins to take his gun on and off of his back, to activate some sort of speed boost. If he hadn't done this he most likely wouldn't of caught up to me, and I would of make it safely inside of my gang base. However, he did use this exploit and managed to catch up to me. On top of this his gun wasn't fully out when he knocked me out but that may have just been poor timing and isn't much of a problem to me. I do not feel that this sort of exploiting is fair as it was the deciding factor on whether or not he would catch up to me, and carry out his RKO.

Seen as I have recieved a player report from you, in this wall of text I shall be discussing my side of the story.

First of all, ArmA 3 is a very glitchy game. I don't need to provide any evidence of this as myself, you and staff know this. I don't understand why you are complaining because of ArmA 3 being ArmA 3. At the end of the day ArmA is just a game and it should not be taken literally. As mentioned in the rules, not everything in the rules can be detailed. I would not consider this to be purposefully exploiting, as if I were to be purposely exploiting I would of repetetively given myself the speed boost by spamming Shift F and Shift H. Also if you didn't know when you press Shift F it slows you down and when you press Shift H it regains you to the speed and place you would of been at. Either way I would of caught you up.

Lies. Sorry to call you out so harsh on this one, but you would not of made it to your gang tower as you had your weapon out, meaning your character travels at a slower velocity to me (I didn't have my weapon out). Me and you both know you would not of returned to the TBB gang tower. 

Although you could say "I used this exploit to gain an advantage" if you listen to the keystrokes I was making, it doesn't really sound like I am keyboard warrioring to catch up to you. 

What was going through my mind when I did this?

1) When I first ask you "do you want to get RKO'd", I put my gun on my back to run faster than you as you had your weapon out.

2) When I pull out my weapon again, I felt that I was at reasonable distance to knock you out - I was not, I knew full well you would complain if I did knock you out so decide to return my weapon to my back.

3) When I knock you out, I was totally unaware that the speed boost had happened. That's why I had knocked you out as I assumed I was in reasonable knock out distance.

I hope we can come to some sort of a resolution *and apologise that it had to come to a player report; I hope that I wont replicate this bug in the future. *

Most of your reply isn't even discussing the fact that you exploited. For example, talking about monetizing your video, calling me out for lying about catching up to you (even though I clearly said 'most likely') and trying to play it off as an accident. The fact of the matter is that many of these so-called 'bugs' that you talk about are considered exploits, for example looking through walls in the third person, or in this case repeatedly taking your gun on and off of your back to gain speed when chasing me. When I called you to Teamspeak you had nothing to say except that it was a 'bug' however you didn't even bring up the fact that you didn't do it to gain speed. You just explained that if it's an Arma 'bug' it's not your fault and denied the fact that it is an exploit. I do not feel it's acceptable to abuse an Arma 'bug' as it gives a pretty big advantage. I will not be replying unless an admin requests me to do so, as I do not feel the need for arguing about whether it's an exploit or not.

 
I did some testing on the live server with a friend of mine where we did a race, guess what - the glitch didnt do shit.

Running faster with your weapon on your back is an ArmA mechanic, not an exploit. The only reason it looks odd is because of the lack of leg movement during the animation when you are putting your gun on your back whilst running forwards, so I can understand why you might think that it looks like an exploit.
