What best describes this incident: Poor RP from cutlass being robbed and them walking off
Please (in detail) describe the incident: Hello to who may read.

The early hours of this morning I was smelting when a couple of people entered and started to walk around inside the smeltery, the guy in a redish coat you will see in the clip seen first, I believe to be (John Witternbry) followed by another which I believe to be (Kilo - Kenny Lake). As seen in the clip John and kilo aim guns at me and demand I put my hands up to which they proceed to rob my crate and get me to drop my phone, they are then seen in the clip walking away and state we can "blame the lost for this" as well someone from our group (changaloas) posted a photo of some sort. after this there was no more roleplay to it and they left not to be seen again so.. basic robbery fair enough.

The problem I have with this is that it seems very poor roleplay and not enjoyable for 1 party of the RP now normally I would say yeah it is fair enough not all RP can be enjoyable for both sides and not all RP will be to the highest standard however.. Cutlass as a group have been engaging in this roleplay nearly every night for months and months with little breaks now and then. most of the city who is on the server between 1am and 4am will have experienced this and it has always ended in a robbery like this or even shoot outs if they find the right people.

I understand cutlass's whole theme lets say is around taking things ect however robbing people in a simple way stage by stage such as walk up - point gun hands up - rob items - walk off not to be seen again seems very poor to me and not to speculate but by the pattern it seems this is more to focus on making sure items are taken and robbed then engaging in roleplay.

Hello @calpol04 ,

Hi hope all is well.

I am happy to go to QE and shall give an update afterwards, I am only going to be available for this said QE after 12pm as I go to work and finish at 12-1 at night.

Thank you for your time sorry for the late response as I was in work for a while.

@calpol04 @KiloC ,

I will leave you two to see if you can figure this out liaising with each other for now. An update will be needed before long though as we cannot keep the report open forever :)

I've been unable to get into contact regarding the liaison so I'll write it here.

I overlooked your personal enjoyment in this scenario and I apologize for that. I was focused on the bigger storylines at play, like the multiple gangs that were/are protecting smeltery from Cutlass and the "retort" so to speak of the tweedle that was posted saying "Fuck Cutlass" by a Changaloas member.

I initially scoped out the smeltery from above as you caught sight of John. We watched as you went on your phone and assumed you were communicating our presence with someone or a group that would turn up in response. To avoid being ambushed, the robbery was conducted hastily but I wanted to provide you with a few things during our encounter.

I wanted you to have the knowledge that we were Cutlass, as I mentioned the tweedle, and the explanation as to why it was happening. The intentions weren't your items but to develop the several storylines that are at play. One, showing Changaloas that the disrespect towards Cutlass would be answered and that would create further roleplay between our gangs. Two, that with all the protection the smeltery was receiving from various gangs/factions, that Cutlass wouldn't be afraid to continue their antics, and three, giving us a bigger chance to be intercepted by whoever we thought you had communicated with on the phone or one of the many groups protecting the smeltery.

At 30 seconds in you go on to your phone to alert someone and that played a heavy part in me speeding the scenario up to avoid being caught. It's not your fault, it's just how things played out. Unfortunately backup didn't arrive in time.

The robbery itself was quite simple and I'll do better to create an enjoyable experience for those on the receiving end in future but with the limited time frame from the risk, I wanted to provide you with the means to continue and have further roleplay come from this scenario and not simply: "Put your hands up, thanks, bye" with no knowledge of who we were and no chance to reclaim your items.

As a senior of Cutlass, I led this interaction and John simply followed the plan that I had laid out.

I'm sorry that you weren't happy with the roleplay that was provided but I do hope good things come from this interaction and we can create enjoyable experiences for each other and our gangs in the future.

Hi kilo. Thank you for your reply I have struggled to find the time to come and liase with you and therefore this will be the best option.

Reading over what you said I can understand where you are coming from and your thought process behind the situation and yeah fair enough you wanted to give the message out that cutlass are still about and still doing their antics but that's exactly what the problem was "your doing your usual antics" which is why I have come to speak about it. Your group rob people like this on a day to day basis with little roleplay involved except taking items off people I struggle to see what message you are giving off to random people on a daily basis except this is what you do however considering we are dealing with this situation its self I will focus and only talk about that.

I appreciate you acknowledging that it may not of been the best roleplay and this is what I would like to address and just let you know that maybe something else could of been involved in that roleplay situation such as a longer interaction with me and pressure me something like that not just robbing me and stating it was cutlass you know what I mean.

I don't think it was the best roleplay but I don't necessarily think it was poor in terms of quality.

I think the issue lies in your enjoyment of the situation and there wasn't much offered to you personally in the moment which is my own fault.

The robbery was conducted with the idea of furthering storylines and creating roleplay but the way you were the catalyst for that during a hasty robbery wasn't an enjoyable experience for you.

This isn't a common occurrence for me and there's something we can all learn from every roleplay experience. The scenario happened on the fly and I tried to make the most of it for you with the limited time frame we ended up on.

I apologize that I overlooked making it a more fun experience for you and it's much appreciated that you're discussing this with me amicably.

I recognize your concerns and I'll learn from this situation. And I hope in future if we ever cross paths again that you'll have a more fulfilling experience and I can showcase this isn't the standard scenario that I look to create for people.

I'm not here to deflect or justify, I personally think this is a fruitful conversation to be had and if more were willing to talk about situations as we are, the gang scene and server as a whole would benefit. I'm happy to answer any questions if you have any and if you disagree with anything that I've said, I'll be happy to discuss it further.

Thank you for your report.

I’ve reviewed this footage and struggled to see a rule break here.

Whilst repeated attempts of Poor Quality Roleplay is noted by the staff team and often results in other rules being broken, there is no specific rule that states an instance of Poor Quality RP is a rule break in itself. Whilst we set our RP standards high, there’s still no specific rule for what you are reporting these players for.

Unfortunately this incident doesn’t seem enjoyable for both parties, but it’s a robbery and that sometimes happens.

Due to not being able to identify a broken rule, I am going to Decline this report.
