I was lockpicking a car at the garage (outside of green zone) suddenly a man stops me pointing a gun at me. I stop and he says i need to put my hands on my head. I ask why but he doesn't awnser me. He hasn't initiated on my life so he can't shoot me, but when i run away he shoots me anyway. After that he tries to read out my name. I have video proof of the situation. Sorry for my mic earraping

I gave you enough time to comply and you didn't do what i asked. i did not have to tell you what i wanted you to do as the threat was there, the reason i was telling you to put your hands up was because you were geared and you were clearly lockpicking a vehicle, also in game you said "It says repairing" so i don't really see what the problem is. I have been told by multiple admins the same thing about the threat and robbing people and this is acceptable in my eyes.

You never asked me at all to come to Teamspeak/Discord and you never seemed like you wanted to resolve it. ~ If i didn't see OOC chat, my bad but i don't think you did.

There has been alot of discussions between players an admins and alot of different opinions that have been thrown around, Some say this is perfectly fine and some say it isn't. Is there a possibility that initiation on robbing someone and the threatening could be discussed in a community meeting? And also i hear alot of people - Cops/UNMC/Rebels saying the same thing even admins occasionally and i was just wondering what would be the best. I did try and roleplay it but since i heard you don't need to threaten them much anymore verbally since you have a gun pointed to their head i didnt feel it was nessesary. I did tell him before why i wanted him to put his hands up, since he was lockpicking a vehicle. I then saw him run towards garage (Which is a GZ) So before he got there i had nothing else to do but shoot him. I am not sure what to say since i heard by multiple staff members this scene was okay and nothing was bad. ~ next time when this situation occurs, i will make sure i tell him what i want him to do and what i will do when he doesn't do that. I have just talked with Staff Lead to query about this and they said it is best to verbally threaten them still to ensure high quality roleplay is involved.

Regardless If he runs to a GZ then that him breaking a server rule which then he will have to explain his actions but that does not mean you can provide bad role-play because they are running to a safe zone, is that understood?

Yes i do fully understand this. As of next time i will make sure i carry out all robberys with extended high quality roleplay.

I know it looked like i was running towards the garage, but i wasn' t going to. I had nowhere else to run because you were in front of me so i could run towards there, left of me was a wall and so i chose to run in the direction of the garage.

@Stinjo If you were not running to the GZ it did look like, alternatively what you could have done it just complied with the rebel due to him having pointing a weapon at you but it can handle differently.

@Tiger Jiggins Let this be a warning to you that this should not happen again no matter the situation if someone is breaking the rules does not mean you should break them too.

Overall this situation could have been handled better but we can all learn from this and make sure that this does NOT happen again.
