We were doing the HM and we managed to kill all cops that came. During the fight multiple police officers logged off . At the start the was at least 10 on. We got about 15 of the 60 total bars when cops started to log off and we could no longer get some. Seeing as we succeeded in the HM my gang is unhappy that we wernt able to obtain all the gold. The rule broken is (7.2.6) Any police who we find have logged out on purpose to bring the number of police down to under 10 will be banned. If you need to log out during a known active bank operation,please inform a member of staff. I spoke to a couple of these who logged off. One stated he did not know there was a HM operation on but i was told that they have multiple notifications during the HM that they would see. Another chatted with:

Alright im sorry for my attitude in teamspeak @ravoman but i simply left to go have a break and I was told the situation was over when i died. I had played arma for around 2 hrs and got tired at this point. I honestly did not log off on purpose to stop you from getting your gold. Other officers came one and reset it to 10 officers but you had already left. If i have to be punished so be it. I am extremely sorry for what inconvenience i have caused.

Well this was very unexpected after our short teamspeak conversation, and it saddens me that we couldn't talk about this while you were messaging me. 

So I spent the majority of my father's day yesterday playing on the server as a cop with SGT Davelantor @Davelantor. At the time of the HM alert notification going off me and Dave both chose to not respond and to take two prisoners to the prison from NPAS. While the initial alarm was going off me and Dave were busy arguing with these two prisoners about their rights and why they were restrained to which they were sending lots of // messages which were very distracting, as Dave can confirm. We proceeded to spend 5 minutes flying over to the prison, while we were at the prison we attempted to put the two in prison, however found we physically couldn't get one of them out of the helicopter, we spent several minutes trying to fix the issue, talking to him in // and asking him to manually jump out however none of this worked. 

After this Dave decided we were going to fly back to NPAS to see if anyone else could get the guy out, this was at precisely 13:03 as I remember explicitly asking Dave if he could impound my car I left at NPAS as I was going to log off and go and talk to my father who was about to go out, (it being father's day). I then proceed to come back up 3 or 4  minutes later and play as a civilian. 

I spent a good hour on patrol speaking with Dave as can be seen with my connection logs and most likely his NPAS timesheet.

While I am then in my gang channels I receive the above message from you about the HM, I was really surprised and completely forgot there was any HM going on, I also had no idea how many cops were on and the status of the HM. For the whole time me and Dave were in our own seperate channel and had NO communication with any other officers at any point from when the HM started to my logging off, what happened after I logged off I obviously don't know. Dave who was with me said "cya" as I disconnected.

Most people who know me can confirm I'm not the sort of character to maliciously log off to break rules. I've been in the police for nearly a year and my constabulary command and police command can confirm they've had no incidents with me ingame as police ever. On the same note however, being one of the leaders of The Copper Kings I completely understand the annoyance and frustration of having someone log off, thus locking the vault. However what I can say is that this happened on Server 2, lunch period on father's day and on the hottest day of the year, all these factors generally made the overall police activity for that day very poor. 

I do wish you had decided to have spoken to me where I could have said all this too you and hopefully have reached a resolution quicker. When you replied with "Ok" I assumed this meant you were, ok, with what I had said and understood.

If you need any confirmation @Vaffla Dave has said he will gladly reply if needed.

@Norman After messaging you I went to speak to an admin who said it was unlikely for you not to know there was a HM going on, as a cop im sure you should pay extra attention to notifications on your screen as its part of being police

Does this mean you only care about the money lost, hence the report, rather than the fact that rules COULD have been broken? It seems to me (not that it greatly affects the report) that you're only here because you 'missed out'.

The entire point of this report is because we missed out, we won the HM and the money was rightfully ours. The police broke rules as they logged out after they had been killed. If we had been able to take all of the money this report wouldn't exist. We don't necessarily want these people to be banned but we want the issue resolved by us possibly getting the comp of what we did miss out on.

@Samatlewis I have made this report because we sucessfully completed the HM but we were unable to claim our reward due to police not following rules. Arnt all reports based on people missing out on something? The only reason for this report is because we did miss out on money because these 3 logged off. Had we been able to get the gold then no rule break would have occured and so no report would have been filed. This rule break ruined an RP situation of getting money from a bank job.

The rule in question is as follows:

To me, it is quite clear that the act of logging off must be intentional. Now, while there are warnings that come up for the police when there is an active HM going on, this does not mean they know if it is still ongoing or indeed if they actually even seen it. The classic example on this point is traffic lights - they are obvious and clear, yet some people do still miss them.

As there isn't evidence to support the claim they had intentionally logged off, I will be denying this report. However, I shall leave it down to police command (@CSI Joseph Tadworth @CSI Aiden @CSI Dredd), to at their own discretion, make any arrangements with you as they see fit to compensate you in some form. This is not a request for them to pay you £5m I should highlight, but merely my recommendation you attempt to RP with the police again and give you another chance at the treasury.
