My friend was kidnapped by these people, before his communications where taken away he told me his location and how many people there was, he also warned them that I would be in the area and would open fire if they did not let him go, this was fine and when I talked to him in teamspeak after he did not seem to be troubled by this, During the gun fight I killed one of the two people that where there and was traded at the same time, after in my opinion the gunfight clearly ended the player RiCh came over to me and executed me, the rules clearly state that you can only do that if there is an active gun fight,I spoke to the individual in teamspeak afterwards but he did not agree that the gun fight has ended although it was clearly stated to him that I was the only armed man in the area and that I was the only one shooting, meaning that after I was downed the gun fight had ended, another reason as to why I believe that the gun fight has ended as after I was downed you can clearly see in the video that RiCh even puts his gun away and then later switches to a different gun after speaking to my friend who was being held hostage and then comes over to me and kills me, it had been a full minute between my the last gun shot and me being executed as well which further leads me to believe the gun fight had ended, I have independently contacted two members of staff in order to determine what constitutes to a gun fight ending , as I couldn't find it in the rules, as of writing this i have not yet got a response

Firstly I think the video is insufficient evidence as there is no audio.

Secondly although I executed you with no RP it was still an active gun fight, and the rule 7.1.3 [Regarding executions] states and I quote "Executing another player must also be carried out with high quality roleplay, the only exception to this rule is if both you and the victim are engaged in a gunfight together."  In the video the last shot fired was just over a minute before you were executed,  meaning the gun fight was still active because  five minutes had not past before the last shot was fired.

Lastly although it may of been just you at the end of the day I did not know, for all I know more friends/allies you know could of turned up to help, so as far as I was concerned the gun fight was not over.

The audio was not included as I had no problem with your RP with my friend or me, the evidence is there to prove you executed me when there was no active gun fight or RP nothing else, audio was not needed for this and therefore to keep the file size small was not included.

also, the rule clearly states during an active gun fight, which I have already told you I do not belive the circumstances we where in does not constitute as a active gun fight.

Your video proves nothing of the sort apart from me executing you just over a minute after the last shot was fired. And saying there was "no problem with my RP" makes no sense to me, because isn't this the main reason you put up the report........

If you read the report you would clearly see I’m reporting because of RDM and not fail RP.

 
Your video is too short, it doesn't show the lead-up to the situation or anything, and starts from halfway into the gun fight between you and us.

It’s nearly the same video as before but with audio, you didn’t comment about it being short then , stop grabbing at straws and let the admin decide, you had multiple chances to defend yourself.

 
I executed you just over a min, 1 minute 5 seconds to be precise, meaning it was still an active gunfight. This situation and outcome has happened to me and others countless times,  on a regular basis. I mean I have been killed like this even 5 mins after being killed without anyone [Including server staff] criticizing my outcome.

I am not "grabbing straws" I am highlighting things which need to me seen [Which your video does not show.]

Let the admins decide , if there is something wrong with the video ( which in my opinion there isn’t ) the admins will tell me, they do this everyday and don’t need you attempting to slander the evidence , if you have an issue with me or anyone else in my clan then you message me and express that, please don’t vent your anger via this thread, thank you.

 
Whilst I'm not a huge fan of the way that this execution was done (i.e. without saying anything) it is technically within the rules.

Executing another player must also be carried out with high quality roleplay, the only exception to this rule is if both you and the victim are engaged in a gunfight together.

Both of you were engaged in a gunfight together, and it was not obvious that the gunfight was over: as Rich said, you could have had other people around that would have prolonged the gunfight. There was not a long time between the last shot being fired, and you getting executed.

THAT BEING SAID, I do have some words of advice for the pair of you:

@'RiCh' - Executing someone is the end of all possible RP with that person, so it should only really be used as part of your RP and/or to further a situation (such as a punishment). In this scenario, if you thought the gunfight was still going on, then the downed man posed no threat to you and you could have left him until you were sure that the fight was over - then you could have made an example out of him to his friend, or even gotten a defib, revived him, and gotten yourself a second hostage! Don't jump straight to the killing!

@MrLongSlong - Don't break character. You came very close there at the end of your video. Equally, be careful what you say out of game whilst you are downed: you can't use your radio, so you can't really talk to other people about in game things. Just a slap on the wrist this time, but watch yourself in the future.
