Which server did the incident take place on: Forum

Date of the incident: 04/30/23

Time of the incident (GMT) 24hr Format: 11

What best describes this incident ?: C1.8

Please (in detail) describe the incident: Hi!
A report on Roleplay.co.uk was put up against myself and Harry.
A staff member instigated and encouraged criminals to shoot when little to no context was said in the video. In my eyes he is saying if a officer says one bad word to a criminal they are allowed to be shot. I think he is instigating people to break the RDM Rule from the context of how he put it.

(G1.2) Random Death Match (RDM) - Attacking another player without engaging in any form of quality roleplay is considered RDM. (eg. Giving enough time for them to comply with your order. “Put your hands up or I will shoot” and countdowns are not considered quality roleplay, please at least attempt to create an interesting roleplay story before considering violence.)

I tried to speak to Charles about this in a ticket on the roleplay.co.uk discord but he gave me a response of you can shoot with 0 roleplay from yourself for someone saying the word 'bullied' .

This is not a revenge report on Charles, Its just his reply was very absurd. In my eyes he is saying as you are breaking a rule 'baiting' I can 'rdm' you.

Good Morning @RichieRichUK

As mentioned to yourself yesterday there is a few things I will touch on with this since I feel you are missing the mark with the response provided to you by Charles within the other forum report.

I've reviewed both the report that lead to the ban and this report fully. Within the other report you and Harry we're on duty as police officers and roleplaying as such one would hope, However the situation overall was a gunfight between Balla's and 229. After this yous decided to drive past and pull up to Yacob at a red light. From looking at the video it appears you we're both whispering and then decided to change the VOIP range to poke the bear.

What Charles said in his response is correct, Yacob did show restraint and given the context of this situation indeed you could of been shot however he decided not to do this and simply make a report. For the baiting rule;

(G1.3) Baiting - Taking deliberate actions to create a scenario where you get chased or engaged with, especially to cause a firefight. Examples: Robbing a service station with the intent of a gunfight, deliberately committing crimes in front of the police, swearing at a group of gang members.

This rule does apply to all players on the server including police. During this time it is clear that you both aren't acting professional as cops and from what I gathered after reviewing believe you would be untouchable, However as a whitelisted faction you would be setting the standard moving forth.

Lets look in the context of this a bit, Does it make sense that police officers who would remain neutral try and cause harm towards themselves, Or simply remain that neutral party? Food for thought moving forth.

One comment within this report, "I think he is instigating people to break the RDM Rule from the context of how he put it." I feel you are clutching at straws here. If you read the response it was in relation to that report and that situation overall. If you we're shot, Taken hostage ect then you yourself set the context of the situation that you did bring upon yourself here. Every action has a reaction and that's how roleplay works overall.

Finally, One thing that was a little worrying is this is in relation to people using outcomes of reports for all situations moving overall. This simply shouldn't happen as most situations require context. Whilst in the situation that was reported wouldn't fall under RDM, A similar one might. Context is important with all situations and we should all keep this in mind.

With that being said this report will be denied as no rule breaks has happened nor did Charles encourage anyone to break a rule, Simply give his opinion with what he would of done if it was him in that situation.

Denied.

Thank you for your report, Unfortunately, it has been declined

The staff member will advise shortly why on this occasion they have declined to take action against the reported player.

Please do not let this put you off making further reports in the future, We rely on our player base to help keep our community clean.
