Please (in detail) describe the incident: So i just want to start off this report saying how much it truly pains me that I've felt the need to make this in the first place, I thought long and hard whether or not i should given my position in the police and my longstanding relationship with firearms and having been in similar situations myself but at the end of the day it wasn't just me who got dealt a bad hand here and it wasn't just myself that was left feeling disheartened by this whole thing! and if nothing is ever said or spoken up about then nothing will ever change and i feel its time we take a serious look into how situations like these are handled.

REPORT:
After a hostage situation last night which saw me and my partner wolfy escape custody at MRPD by sharpening a flashlight into a prison shank and taking an officer hostage in the cells to allow our escape we knew that it wouldn't be long till the police tracked us down and arrested us, so we decided that we would in fact act on this golden opportunity to try and create a unique and fun role play situation so we could further carry on and develop our RP story ARC,

So flash forward to today where I spent around 2 hours pre-planning a whole list of scenarios where we could possibly play this out long term and create a fun and unique experience for both us and the officers from last night and any officers who decide to get involved today, please see the video below which shows the final prep/pre-plan that we eventually decided upon (as you can see this was posted long before the situation developed and hopefully gives you an insight into the fact a lot of thought and planning went into this) (obviously i never intended anyone but the gang to see this but I feel its warranted for this report):

So after debating for a while we all settled on the DAM situation being the perfect idea to potentially take some officers hostage and lead on from last nights RP and propose a more unique RP situation for everyone involved which we could see out for our whole Sunday evening,

The plan went perfectly as seen in the below video from my pov, I managed to lure the perusing officers to our ambush spot where we got two into zip ties and prepared to ready our negotiations, I then ordered the officer i had at gun point to relay the demand that should any shots or any forward action be presented at us we would have no other choice but to execute him on the spot, the officer in question then relayed this msg perfectly on his radio freq which can clearly be heard by all officers inc Barry who where on scene,

not even 10 seconds after this direct/RP creating order was given Barry decided it was the best course of action to just simply open fire on all of us completely shutting down and ending our entire nights planned RP adventure! thus negating the whole situation instantly! no order was heard from Barry in any of our POVs and nothing was said to us before the shooting began,

Second to this he also then immediately disappeared and fled from the scene with out again any words being said to us and left a handful of PCs behind to deal and process all 5 of us in the way of medical/custody, Poor billy bubbles who wasn't even involved ended up staying in the cells with us for the entire 2 hours whilst we got processed,

One of us called for a QE to discuss the events that had just taken place where Barry did kindly join to give his side of the story, However the conversation was incredibly stale and uneventful and made me rather disheartened to hear that he truly believed absolutely no wrongdoing had been done and coupled with the fact he showed not an ounce of remorse or even a smidge of an apology it really didnt sit well with me, This personally made me feel quite sad and given the amount of effort put in/time wasted and guns lost it just rubbed further salt in the wound,

All in all our entire evening was left ruined and spent being processed and sent to jail (2.5 hours) Im not angry about losing all the weapons and money, im just angry that a brash and hastily decision was made with no full thought or care ended all 5 of our chances for a unique and fun RP situation that could of easily played out over the course of this evening

This is nothing against Barry personally as i believe he has been a great community leader but when we make mistakes i except you to at least put your hands up and own that mistake and take some accountability,

As for the reason I had to leave was because I was called away to at police wide briefing at 2000 which was about 30 officers waiting for me so really this has no effect on the report. Multiple people can attest to why I had to leave. I was literally taken against my will and I did not even register the time which is why I had 2 officers drive from MRPD to summon me. If you are implying that I left because I was not interesting in dealing with medical role-play and booking you in as suspect, then you are being presumptuous and wrong. As most of the server know I will deal with hours long role-play situations without problem. So suggesting otherwise is insulting.

You were surround on all side by 5 officer and I gave the instructions that was heard on the radio. You were being covered from all angles. I gave you instructions to give up as you had nowhere to go and no hope to fight your way out. You didn't hear the instructions which I would guess would be either down to my voice being not loud enough but I am sure that I was shouting at you.

I issued instructions, they were not accepted or heard. Either-way I have no videos of my side as I cannot record. As for accountability I choose the action to issue instructions and follow with the threat of those instructions and I will live with the judgement of the staff team as per usual.

Morning Barry, thank you for your reply and although i do understand why you had to leave so hastily it does make me wonder if this had any effect on your decision making last night, as it seems to me now that you had somewhere more important to be (which seems odd given we had two of your officers held hostage at gun point) but either way it looks like you decided to end the situation ASAP so you could nip off and begin your evenings adventure of fun police RP with whatever avenue that was related too (hopefully it played out and you all enjoyed it)

As evidenced in the body worn on the report, you shot literally with in 10 seconds of giving that order thus not allowing any time to actually check and make sure your demands had even been heard/accepted as you state, regardless this showed a complete disregard to the fact that we had two of your officers hostage, and jumped straight to the “lets open fire” instead of trying to negotiate at all.

Again you did not for a second check if your instructions had been heard or accepted before opening fire, and this reply just shows a complete disregard to how RP should be handled and in fact solidifies and displays a clear win mentality from the police, something Barry you seem to be championing against and want to put an end too...

Either way we will let staff handle this and regardless of the outcome i felt this needed to be addressed, but as a community leader of the biggest faction on the server you seriously need to be mindful of your actions and remember they speak a much larger volume then any one else in the police and people look up to you for guidance bud.

No it did not as the time already have elapsed, and i had people drive up from MRPD to chase me as i didnt even register the time. I can refer to @Jesse for the situation leading to what made me leave, as he was the one that insisted I left the scene and how it was barely even in my mind.

You have assumed that me leaving was something I am guilty for in this report but nothing can be further from the truth, when I am in a situation nothing else in in my mind except for the current thing i see infront of me. So do not assume what you perceive that was in my mind as the facts.

As for the actual situation itself.

You decided to plan to hold up in a very exposed location
I saw the fact of how disadvantaged you are in the location
I decided to aggressively pursue the scenario to its conclusion knowing that you were at a heavy disadvantage
I gave a demand and the demand was clearly not met.

Not every situation with a hostage should play out as a cookie cutter, "we have this, we want this". Sometimes you will have it one way sometimes it will swing another way. Taking into consideration the disadvantage you placed yourself into I decided to call the actions that happened.

It resulted in 1 officer being injured by a gunman away from the dam and on the hill where he was not seen until he shot and was fire upon. When situations happen like this you roll a dice with modifiers depending on the situation and factors that present itself to the situation it does not follow a script.

My decision is what happened and there is nothing else to see other than how staff will look at the situation at hand. I am not one to weasel my self out with random opinions and obscure facts.
This is what happened and I cannot change actions and decisions that were made under pressure and with the situation in hand.

I do appreciate you explaining your side of the situation mate and i do take it into account and understand some parts of your argument, my advice moving forward is if you genuinely have other arrangements or meetings then hand over OFC to someone on scene and let the situation develop, again nothing against you directly mate just felt there was a good opportunity there for some fun RP on both sides as tbh that was the main goal and agenda when we created this, remember this wasn't just a random "hands hands hands" this was a planned and organized situation to try and give everyone an equal opportunity to help evolve our RP story arc thats been building the last few days and most importantly to have some fun RP,

unfortunately no fun was had from our side of things.. but ill leave it at that and let staff handle this moving forward

Hello, thank you to who ever is reading this.

I wanted to give my side of the story and my POV as I was involved in that whole situation. My crew and I made a whole plan as previously stated and we decided to go with it. Whole situation unfolded according to our plan, until Barry came on the scene. Barry gave a demand to give the officers back or we are getting shot at. My friend Wolf was responding to Barry, 5 seconds passed and whilst Wolf was responding to Barry, Barry opened fire on us. Barry didn't even give us a chance to respond or talk to each other or actually give the officers back.

I am not gonna go into too much details, but I feel pretty shit about the whole RP situation that unfolded yesterday. This is the second time in two weeks I am here because cops don't want to RP with us.

I got nothing against Barry as I never really met the bloke before.
