Please (in detail) describe the incident: We started looking for Grove at around 23:50. At around 00:00 we spotted an individual at the gas station near Marina, and when we went to check who it was, it was a Grove member, so obviously since we are at beef with Grove, we decided to box him in where he would be at a clear disadvantage with no way out. This is where the clip comes in, where you can see the individual get cornered with 3 guns pointed at him, with no way out other than surrendering. As also seen in the clip, he didn't have a chance to radio or send an emergency GPS/Message. The individual then proceeds to shoot the gas canister which is less than a foot away from his body, nearly making everyone blow up. We decided to call the individual to QE and he stated that at the time, he thought that shooting the gas canister would make us start running away, which would then give him time to run from us? This was a clear situation where he didn't value his own life due to the fact that he knew he would also die since he was closer to the gas canister than us, making it impossible for him to get away. Also, even if he did manage to make us 'run away', we had an individual far enough (in the clip he pulls in from Weazel news) who pulled up and would most likely kill him if he did start running away.

Shortly after that OOC message, we got a call that grove were out looking for us nearby our turf. How would they know that one of their members has gone missing if he didn't have a chance to radio/GPS? After this call, we decided to drive all the way to Paleto Hospital to be sure that if grove were out looking, we would be very far away. Once we arrived at Paleto a couple minutes later from Great Ocean Highway (West of the Map), there was no trace of Grove or any individual following us. Once the three of us that got downed were in the hospital beds, one of our members pulls in behind an alleyway and begins to start doing medical on the individual. After the three of us got out of the hospital (not sure of the timestamp), we decided to chill out for 5 minutes considering Grove were actually out looking for us (from the previous call). The member of ours which had the individual in his boot, took him down to the North beach of Paleto, roughly between Beekers and the Pier.

Around 5 minutes after he was put in the boot, multiple Grove cars started swarming Paleto, and not even two minutes after they arrived, they found exactly where the Sultan was parked on the beach. In QE, they stated that they knew where all 3 of the dodgy locations were and searched all over the city, but then instantly contradict themselves and say that they only know where 2 out of the 3 dodgy's are. They said that they were at a dodgy location from a PREVIOUS situation, started driving back into the city, span their turf from the dodgy in Grapeseed. They then stated that they went searching all around the city and when they went back to Paleto, he states, 'we were at the petrol station, well I don't know, at least I was at the petrol station when Andreas has commed a 4x4 SUV speeding past taking chase. He's driven off the cliff pointing guns at me saying 'Fuck Grove', where a GPS gets posted and everyone turns up'. He also states that they were 'up in Paleto prior to us arriving there, because we sped past them at the petrol station,' keeping in mind that we came in from Great Ocean Highway which is on the opposite side of Paleto.


We (the people involved) came to a conclusion that the individual in the boot metagamed his location to others in Grove which led to Grove finding us in Paleto. In reality, we could've been all the way at the docks in city or at the powerplant, but was a real coincidence that Grove managed to find us on the Paleto beach in that exact spot. Also how would they know that we would be going to a dodgy with him, what if he was grabbed but still alive?

Hello frank I am 549 in this report,

I would like to start with as I do see where you might think it would be nvl I would disagree.
In my mind as I first got out the car I would take my chance and try shoot you before you got out the car as it is much more difficult to shoot out the car than it is on foot. But as I stepped out my car I tried to jump out the way to pull out my gun but the passenger of the sultan stepped out causing me to get sent up into the air landing back onto the car,
As I was in the air I spotted the gas canisters which gave me the idea if I were to shoot the gas canisters you would realise that you would get killed as well so maybe you'd run away from the explosion giving me time to get behind some cover and try fight it off and get someone from grove to my location.
You might say that I was basically committing suicide but there was a 5-6 second interval before it actually blew up giving me and you guys enough time to back away. Also In life or death situations as this one not all decisions are perfectly rational and I acted out of desperation to save my own life.

Due to me shooting the gas cannisters this then brought all of us to take part of the NVL rule. I say this because NVL applies to all persons no matter if outnumbered or not. Once I shot the gas cannisters you proceeded to run up to my body to attempt to put me in your vehicle instead of running away from the explosion ignoring the danger which could and did injure you.
In real life when a gasoline tank is shot and there's such an interval before it explodes people would instinctively run away your decision to stay still despite the obvious danger shows you guys weren’t valuing your own lives as well. Your reaction of not running away is even more unrealistic than me shooting the tank. You then took me in the car afterwards while accordingly from what I saw, all got hit from it and you's didn't even roleplay your characters injuries.

The action I took was not about ‘winning’ or avoiding a loss it was about creating an immersive and realistic moment that should make all involved to react differently than standing still while the result was unfortunate, it was a decision I took out of desperation and since the tank didn't explode immediately you had enough time to react

From your pov I seen that it didn't play out that way due to when I shot the gas canisters, There was no fire effect coming out of it which leads me to believe you had zero idea to what my intentions were until you actually got blown up.

If needed I can provide my pov of the scenario so you can imagine my side of the scenario.

1 person came up to put you in the vehicle because no one was expecting it to blow up so of course someone tried to put you in the car then also why would someone from grove be coming to your location? you did not radio nor use your phone to let someone know where you was or that you have seen us which comes the metagaming part of this report with the message put in OOC saying about grove with the NVL then all your grove members come looking etc

When I shot the tank, you came toward me even though I was near the gas canister. To me, that shows you weren’t really valuing your life in that situation. Like I mentioned in my previous reply you had no way of knowing what my intentions were. If I had wanted to just "win" the situation, I would’ve immediately started shooting you and your members, which would clearly be NVL.

Instead, I chose to do something that I thought would make the roleplay more intense and interesting. I never intended to take away from the roleplay. My goal was to add something more engaging for everyone involved. At the end of the day, I think we all want to create immersive and meaningful scenarios, and I hope that’s the perspective we can take when looking at this. Honestly, it feels like these reports are being used as a way to gain an edge in the war/beef? rather than focusing on the actual roleplay.

There was no metagaming involved in the situation. We were sat in QE for 30mins plus going back and forth telling you every move that was done to find me. We have proof of messages that I messaged in the group chat which led them to searching for me ( WHICH WERE SHOWN ) . Few minutes prior to the incident. Even if I were to not shoot the gas cannisters and you zip tied me, my members would have still went searching and what if the same outcome would've occurred. You would have been straight on the forums accusing us of metagaming. Even after sitting in QE and proving we were not metagaming.

So in terms of the metagaming, although it looks suspicious, the evidence provided is not solid enough to make a confirmed case.

However on to Emil. Though you may not deem your actions to be in breach of the NVL rules, in this situation, I believe you've breached them.
Your car was pinned by 3 cars, you were then cornered by multiple armed NSC, and instead of surrendering, you shot the gas tanks, knowing full well it would kill you aswell as any NSC close enough. Those actions, in my opinion, scream that you were trying to deny the spoils of war, rather than taking the loss.
