What best describes this incident: Powergaming, Bad RP, Win Mentality
Please (in detail) describe the incident: I'll start the report by acknowledging Bad RP and Win Mentality aren't rules perse but I do believe they should be mentioned here.

A few Friends and I decided to Rob Pharmacy, we had just finished doing a sanitation job and noticed there was only 30 or so minutes to the restart so thought to do it! We start doing it and shortly after police turn up, as we had expected. As soon as he does, he moved one of our bikes off to the side, already showing me how this was going to go. After a few minutes or so we realized none of us actually had a knife, meaning we were stuck inside as we had zip-tied the door. The firearms Officer (293) then processed to place Spike strips down at the front door as we had a bike inside, which to me doesnt make anysense as putting strips on a door would just cause injury to anyone whom walks over it. After a while of complaining about it and having some back and forths, he then places down two concrete barricades down further blocking us in, all while multiple other officers pull up to the scene. I don't this this RP shown by the officer was at all good enough, to me it was a clear showcase of a win mentalit.

I tried reaching out for a QE but got no response.

Hello Steve,

First of all, I didn't manage to see your OOC message, being close to restart and all.

As you have said, bad RP and 'win mentality' are not against the rules per say, but I will address them anyway.

Having arrived at the pharmacy late, I entered the situation and communicated with yourselves to be told you had locked yourself in the pharmacy, probably not the best course of action from yourselves.

You brought no insurance, no hostage, and no clear escape plan. My job there was to arrest you, as you have mentioned, you shot yourselves in the foot by forgetting your knife and using a zip tie on the door. I simply made mine and my fellow officers jobs easier, by creating a funnel, to which you where then presented the option of being let out the pharmacy, on the condition you will all be arrested.

You never made any clear demands as a group, and never really looked to have a clear plan or idea, it seemed to me a quick crack at pharmacy before storm to see if you could get away with it.

Having watched the clips, I am disappointed they do not show the whole situation, and just you being given plenty of time to comply before force was used against you by other officers. Officers on scene can account that I asked for non lethal weapons to be used only, as demonstrated by Jay Martinez, who beat 3 of you too the ground with his baton, once your group started attacking the officers.

I feel the 'win mentality' is subjective, to which side you are on, my 'job;' as a police officer, is to stop you committing a crime, and/or punish your character for committing said crime. if you had come with a hostage, or other means of insurance, this would have vastly changed the roleplay potential of the situation, you trapped your own bike within the pharmacy, negating all means of escape.

If you would like to discuss this more and I can try convey my thoughts, I am happy to liaison with you, with a staff member present if you wish.

In terms of using things to block and barricade entrances or exits. Usually it becomes a issue when it leaves no room for "escape" and it is forced for it to only go 1 way. As shit as you may think this is, that officer was clearly stopping the threat of the motorbike inside speeding out and past the officers. Even with spike strips there you could probably get away in doing that.

So, i dont think its the best thing to do, but as he also has said. He is doing his job, he left room for you to simply walk out and surrender. He did his job.

Report denied.
