Please (in detail) describe the incident

Basically me and Ricardo was in PD when we heard Curley getting taken hostage so I went to respond, Ricky drove me over and I was for the start of the clip afk eating. I ran over to them to see what was happening when I saw the armed men, In my panic I got my gun out. When standing directly in front of the rebel he hit me and knocked me out. This in my eyes is failure to roleplay sufficiently and realistically. Once this had happened I tried to roleplay with the guys stating that I am a negotiator and was ready to see to their demands. Unfortunately they then took me hostage also.

The Primary Issue here is the fail RP regarding the knockout.

The Secondary issue is that in this situation as a police officer I had zero opportunity to roleplay. As presented in my video you can see there was only really 3 options this could have played out

once they took me hostage.

Initially they told me to leave the situation despite trying to roleplay it. As you would know If I left the situation I/we would not be able to roleplay.
I stay as a hostage, from the previous moments before, this again would have left no room for roleplay as the initial hostage also had no role play with them.
A gunfight, which it did result in again no roleplay.

considering this is a serious roleplay community, this roleplay situation wasn't realistic nor good for roleplay.

We also asked him to come into a liaison room to discuss the issue, I asked him this on team speak and as a result he disconnected. two of his friends who were also involved came to speak on his behalf as something had come up for Jstar and he couldn't attend. Despite talking to these people for a matter of minutes no resolve was made as Jstar didn't reconnect.

I'm sorry but there's not really much I can say to you in a tense situation when I have a hostage in Kavala bud. I was about to transport the officer to another location to gather a negotiator. Instead while I'm holding a hostage you run up to me with another officer in attempt to negotiate whilst you have a firearm. I informed you just to leave I had a sniper at the hostages head. Instead officers try to push up to me so my snipers start taking fire at them and then you put your hands down to try and fight.

Regarding the knocking out, I saw you pushing towards me with multiple officers surrounding us, I decided to hit you around the head so I could get in cover as we were being surrounded, additionally you were saying some random stuff charging at me, I didn't know what you was going to do. I wanted a chance to gain distance between me and other officers. Obviously me holding a hostage and multiple officers surrounding me will not end well.

Hello,

Watching the video about 11 times, theres no rules broken here in this hostage situation.

Why in the world  would you run up to a Hostile Rebel with your Rifle pointed at him and intially becoming a threat towards him. Then stating your a negotiator? That doesnt work, and you should know better as a Cop.

Jst4r was very patient with you guys, while giving loads of warnings to back off so he can continue his own plans dealing with the Hostage.

Why wasn`t common sense used here? You can not force someone to start negotiating when they aren`t ready to do so, and at the same time himself telling you to back off.

Theres nothing wrong when he knocked you down, why get so closed to a hostage taker? You should had maintain distance and come in as a negotiater with no weapons. It wouldn`t had escalated the situation compared to someone who has a weapon in there hands.

Just because you have a weapon and get very close to a Armed rebel, doesnt restrict him from Knocking you down.Which in turn gives him the advantage to take a tactical position, and puts you in a shitty position to give up. Next time this happens, make sure you don`t have a rifle pointed at him as a Negotiater. And use more common sense when approaching a nervous Hostage taker.

Be patient also during negotiations, I know its tough seeing your partner in danger but Patience is key in this situation.

You guys should talk it out again in Teamspeak, and come to peaceful terms.
