Right... I've done some reading into this. I don't run windows 10 myself so can't test properly, but I've found someone who had a similar issue and seen their fix.
So... can you try updating your sound drivers from the manufacturers website? From what I was reading, it's an issue between hardware sound control and driver sound control which makes it stay on forever, so hopefully new drivers will fix it.
The only other solution as far as I know is to disable groove music player and all background processes and use a different media player instead.
