Regarding Weapon Seizure after a Confirmed Self-Defense/Legality of 30-Round Mags

What's the rule regarding Seizure or firearms/firearms license after/before being charged with Self-Defense,I.E

1)Can it be seized?

2)Is there really no way to keep your firearm after self-defense?

Regarding 30-Round Mags.

1)Are they Legal/Illegal?

2)If Illegal then why are they sold at a legal handgun seller?

An officer can seize a legal firearm at his/hers own discretion. If their believe it wasn't used for self defence they can confiscate the firearm. In some cases officers will take the firearm instead of ticketing/ticket you lower.

9mm 30 rounds mags are illegal. This is because they are for the PDW (bounty hunter weapon) and are technically a SMG mag not a pistol mag.

Thanks for the info,I was curious because the officer gave me a reduced ticket &seized my handgun,shitty since my options were Die & lose everything,Defend myself & lose $XX/+handgun totaling the total gear price anyways.

As for the mags,then they should't be sold at the handgun shop,seems silly that a illegal clip designated for a smg is sold at a Handgun shop that requires a legal license but themselves are illegal.

If they aren't convinced there was no foul play then they reserve the right regardless nate. It can sometimes suck but most officers wouldn't take the firearm.

The mega are legal for bounty hunters, they only have 1 HQ so if they want to restock their ammo they'd have to go to Kavala. Being able to purchase 30 round mags from gun stores enables them the flexibility to restock ammo elsewhere.

I agree the first time a cop pulled me up on this I got salty real quick because I thought he was just trying to send me to prison lol
