Think this post is pretty unnecessary and showed us what we all knew, except with a picture. The ATMs created a problem that didn't exist before, it made things worse. Saying people went there to get money is something that everyone has agreed upon, because the Management created a situation whereby sitting at the Rebel outpost was the most profitable thing to do, and something that required no effort. This was obviously going to be used by anyone who had the sense to do so, regardless of whether they complained about it or not. The complaints were of the bigger picture, that you created a problem where one didn't exist. Anyway, those complaining wanted a change, but that's obviously not going to stop them abusing the tactic while it was available.
So yes, now that ATMs are back (so I've been told) the problems will stop and people will go back to how they were, and simply go there to gear up with the rare fight actually occurring there.
Regarding the rise in hostility, I personally feel this is because of a lack of content...and I know some people say "oh but we live in a Roleplay world where anything is possible", i disagree, a gun is not a fishing rod, a gun is a gun. For quality roleplay, fun roleplay, we need assets to use and to help create our story, we've received nothing as of yet..except for Police skins, fair play with that, think they're great and I'm glad the Cops like em.
If you take a look at the "Your Suggestions" tab, you will see 100s of fantastic ideas. In total there are 1,710 threads. I would be surprised to see one in which a member of Management has responded, and actually implemented it. The Approved section has nothing... I am fully aware of the sacrifices being made for this Framework and Community, how much work the Management are putting into the Framework but there is only so long a game can go without updates....The Division, recently released, already mapped out all their updates, monthly, new content. We have been here for years and received very little.
As a long time player I can use previous experience to show when this has happened before. The housing update, it took us a lot longer than other Communities to get the housing update implemented on this server, and what happened was that the Community pretty much died, because they could go elsewhere to get the content that others were enjoying...as soon as you brought it in, everyone flooded back. The Community here is the best, of that I have no doubt, and I imagine that is the reason a lot of us are still here, but content can become a big factor.
Looking at the suggestions you can see a post about Interactive Event Schedules and suggestions...what ever happened to those?...they are such a rarity yet when they occur people have so much fun...regardless of whether it's a race, a riddle, an ambush...
I feel it's become very clear as of late that the general idea is to copy and paste this Community into as many games as possible, insert roleplay into everything we touch..but that comes at a cost, and that cost is your ALUK Community. As people move onto different games there is a lot less of a reason to come onto here, and a lot find that unless something exciting is happening..usually an operation of some sort of turf war...rescue op etc, there isn't that much reason sadly...
Anyway...these are my own opinions and maybe I'm just being rather cynical
