I've been browsing the forums a little tonight, and mainly focused on the 'Report a Player' threads.

I've noticed with some RDM reports, that when the evidence shows two people firing their weapons, and the report is accepted, only the person who killed them is banned. Obviously only one of them can get the kill, but they both open fire at the same time, so..my question is, shouldn't they both be banned for RDM? Rather than just the guy who landed the final bullet?

Seeing as RDM is the act of attempting to kill someone without prior sufficient role-play, and not just actually killing them.

"Attempted" RDM is certainly bannable and I've seen it happen previously, although you do make a good point. In my experience, if you reported both of them in the report it is much more likely to get actioned but an important point to note is that resolution on TeamSpeak rarely happens with "attempted" RDM so it would generally poor for such a report to lead to a ban in most situations.

At the end of the day, any staff that can shed any light in it I would be very interested to see, but this is simply my theory.

I'm more talking about a report where two players open up on one, one of the players get the kill, yet they both opened fire, so technically both of them broke RDM, correct? So essentially both should be banned. Just my 2pence because I noticed in a few reports, with this exact situation, only the person who was lucky enough to get the final shot, was banned.

Good question, RDM is random death match so the guy killing should get banned for RDM and the other guy should get banned for bad RP or....be lucky and just not get banned.

RDM is not just killing people, its intend, If two people fire at a player who they have not given chance to RP Both players who fired could be deported under the RDM rule.

(2.2) RDM - Random Death Match Definition: Shooting at someone without engaging in any form of quality role play (eg. Giving enough time for them to comply with your order) is considered RDM. (Punishment is a ban)

What you say is true, but its not specified in the rule, I think either they should add it to the rule or the person should just get banned for bad RP or something.
