I'm upgrading my PC atm, and I need to know what settings will best my gameplay. I'm looking for a solid 60-80 fps with high settings. Some sort of opinion that bests my specs would be great :D

My current build will be 2 gtx 980s sli, i7-4790k @ 4.0 Ghz, and 16 gigs of DDR3 ram.

The answer is don't play ARMA 3, even with the best computer you'll be stuck at some shitty fps

Essentially, keep your draw distance at a decent level, cut down on unnecessary terrain, turn clouds and shadows off, that kind of thing. My computer is alright but I still run at low graphics to stop random FPS drops.

Don't waste your money on the SLI, completely wasted on the Arma3 engine.

It's all about the Ghz, get the i7 4790k and overclock that shit to 4.5Ghz.

Thats the best way for good FPS in Arma3, its all about the Ghz.

Nobodys PC can smoothly run ARMA at 70-80 FPS its impossible, get a good processor and you should get a decent FPS rate.

Speaking as someone who's got a dual core, this is a true fact. My fps eats dirt.

Depends on what you play. I can do steady 60 on some wasteland servers with Ultra graphics

Olala, looking good! Your spec's beast and I love it  :) But don't expect to get a stable 80 fps playing Arma3 multiplayer tho. It doesn't really matter whether you go SLI/Crossfire. It's always been a gimmick with arma and SLI/Crossfire support. Just make sure to get the latest NVIDIA drivers incl. SLI profiles, arma3_dx11.exe or so.

In spite of the fact that Arma3 doesn't support SLI properly, I'm fairly sure you'll end up in the bottleneck (CPU) along with the rest of us! Unless.. you (OC)/convert that yankee cpu of yours :D

Much love & good luck
