I'd go for a more original way of telling them to surrender, but there is nothing wrong with robbing a police officer on duty as long as you RP it! (and be careful not to be in a greenzone either)
Also, be sure to give enough time for the officer to react to your compliance.

+1 on that. However if you plan to pull it off, make it fast. Or make sure you have enough lotion on reserve. Waiting for too long will ensure your world will soon burn and come crashing down on you. So if you tend to RP longer m8by its not so good idea to start by saying "hands up, officer".

Yes you are. If you're a maniac with a gun and a cop doesn't at least make it look like he's doing what you ask of him, it's perfectly good RP to just shoot him, however it's better RP to shoot him in the leg to show that you're not joking first. Lots of people would probably report you if you did this too quickly and it would probably be a pretty fast RDM ban.
