Question about Prestige

Simple question:

Do I gain prestige if I get 1000 cumulative levels across ALL skills?

OR

Do I gain prestige if I get 1000 levels in a SINGLE skill?

You get the option to prestige if you get 1000 levels in a single skill

It just rolls over and you prestige after you get 1k on 1 skill
