"Put your hands up or I'll knock you out"

I've noticed people saying, "Do this thing or I'll knock you out" rather than threatening their life, which I imagine they are doing to avoid full-on initiation. The issue with this is that it gives the person initiating quite a lot of power as the victim can be knocked out and restrained before they have any chance of defending themselves. I would like to know in case this happens to me, what are you allowed to do to defend yourself in this scenario?

What if they are pointing a deadly weapon at you whilst making the threat?

Tell them to stay away from you to stop them from knocking you out would work. A lot of people say initiation is initiation its the same if police say there are gonna taze.

After a good rp session with a cop and he threat me with non lethal force will be used, i can see that as lethal threat?

@JaxTeller like he said above, there is no difference initiation is initiation lethal or non lethal but of course try always to counter initiate or say something to get out from the situation, if still doesn’t work then you good to go, basically make sure you don’t really have another option than just shooting.

Yeah i understand that, but its change like every time. Normally you initiate without a threat to life and you shoot someone if they dont comply. Now 5 days ago i see someone banned for it. After the post from matt about the high quality RP, I expect HQ roleplay instead off a non lethal threat and insta shoot a cop when they say im gonna taze you!

If that's the case then why have cops tazers?

I mean I understand you need high quality RP before shooting someone but If I Roleplay at a fuel station with a cop for 10 mins and he's gonna threat me with non-lethal force, that means i can shoot him instandly. Well In my opinion allways counter initiate when someone threat you with KO or tazer

Knocking someone out is exactly the same as tazing someone, no difference in lethal and non-lethal offensive action.

Regardless you must engage in high quality roleplay regardless of whether someone has threatened you or not before you're able to shoot them etc etc.

This literally happened to me 4 times yesterday start to initiate and am instantly shot.
