Purchase of furniture w/o house still charges fee

As the title says, if you purchase furniture (we bought a plant pot without realising you required a house) you're still charged the fee

You're charged but if you ever buy a house in the future, that can be used in the property.

i bought a house literally 5 mins after purchasing the plant pot and it wasn't in the furniture of the house when I looked the first time and checked again yesterday prior to posting this and it still wasn't in there?

Maybe it's just a one-off bug, as we thought it worked the same as you said

All furniture that is bought before you buy a house disappears, same happens when you move houses/sell your current one
