Property you can own

What is the reason for you only being able to own 3 different properties? There are 1000’S of buyable homes you can have, so why limit to 3 per player when there are plenty of unowned houses and garages. I am going to assume there’s is another reason(Similar to the ones for only having 20 vehicles per each virtual garage).

I am am just asking here instead of in suggestions because my guess is this has been suggested before and denied.

Before we implemented the rent system a lot of the houses were owned and never used, making it difficult for new players to find a good house to buy. Now there is a limit so there are always houses to buy for people. Also because occasionally we have a gang that might buy all the houses in a town, making it impossible for anyone else to settle there. I hope this answer provides some insight. If you wish to still make a suggestion to see it changed you are welcome to do so.

I think this is to prevent rich people from just buying 5 properties per person, making it really hard for new players to find a property that is not yet sold. Garages for example have been quite rare to find unsold ever since they became buy-able.

Yeh but at the end of the day I have a barn and a house rn & I’m sure others would agree with me that 3 properties spread out across such a huge map is a very small amount. In my case I have both of these buildings near kavala so it is a pain when I am on the other side of the map. If there was say 4 or 5 it still lets you own a few other thingd(like barns and garages) whilst still allowing you to have a safe place to store items.

When I was on with a few guys when the beans came out we spoke about a skill point maybe for 4/5 properties, meant to raise a suggestion but never got round to it

Or have it so you have to pay an extra 20% for both purchasing it and the rent
