Problems with fan

Recently on starting up my computer in the morning my fan has made an extremely loud noise, it usually is fixed with a restart but always repeats when keeping my computer off for a long time. If anyone has any explanations or any fixes it would be very much appreciated. :)

Is it just spinning faster or is there a grinding noise can you record on your phone and upload to youtube?

Try and take a look at it, maybe somethings broken off it or caught in it. If not try get a fan sped controller and try running it at different speeds.

@lionel I'll get a video by tonight @ZeitoIt's fairly odd how it stops when i restart the computer.
ona  restart, the fan could spool up to 100% RPM, just enough force to blow said cable out of the way, then sustained fan-speed keeps it away. PC goes off - no airflow - cable could slip back down. Just a possibility.

This is very likely. I actually had this exact issue when at @lionel's house a couple of weeks ago... he should know better xD

Happened a few times to me with my front bottom case fan due to PSU cable positioning, just a quick shift out the way and a cable tie will fix it, but I'm too lazy so just prod it out the way until it happens again a week later xD

I hardly know this issue at all, My Cable tie skillare outta this world maan!!!

But yeah cables don't create a grinding noise mainly high pitched frequent tapping, could be a mistaken description though, hence I asked for the video to make sure ;)

To be fair, he was rather drunk, and with his old age he may be forgetting things xD hehehehe, love you lionel
ABSOLUTELY FUCKING SMASHED, I think is the scientific term ;)

Actually with braided cables it can be a grinding noise ;) It's more likely to be a cable than a bearing at least xD

Probably more accurate, yes. Although I think we all were getting to that point a few hours later so it all worked out fine xD
