Powergaming

So starting the story with experince.

I what being captured by rebels they took me hostage i kept asking questions and talking so he said ''If you say one more word i'll put this sock in your mouth''

Someone in chat said ''// that powergaming'' 

I think its more like nice and creative roleplay! And i would like at every single small thing of Powergaming they have to stop saying your breaking the rule Powergaming as far as i know it isnt a WRITTEN rule.

So where i want to go with this and my quastion is, is powergaming a rule yes/no 

Is it not more something called creative roleplay? Sure it can be taken further and things that would ruin it but something called a sock in your mouth using a wrench, i can call it good roleplay some people call it Powergaming so what is it this Powergaming or Creative roleplay

Powergaming isn't a rule as the interpretations are different for everyone.

'i am going t use this DNA scanner and it will tell me you are Tom Jones, wanted for 5 murders. You ARE Tom Jones and NOT Bob Marley'.- that is powergaming and NOT creative and nice roleplay.

There's a fine line.

Ill ask @Samatlewis a question since he knows the ground in powergaming better then me, Are the following sentences powergaming: "I dont have keys to my vehicle, I unlocked it with a screwdriver"

or "I dropped my keys in my vehicles window and now were all locked out"

On the first one, tell him to use the screwdriver to unlock it again

Second one, break the windows of the vehicle, do some rp as you d be searching for keys and find them ( he d be supposed to give you the keys then, he used that story so you just continued it )

Provided they  either legitimately dropped them and you haven't done the 'i am patting you down, oh look I found them, bullshitter'! it's okay.

Most roleplay can be counteracted with roleplay. Shove a sock in your mouth? Spit it out!

It comes under discretion.
